Man dies to protect teen son

London, March 6: A 50- year-old man of Pakistani origin was stabbed to death in a suburban park in Lancashire in UK as he tried to protect his teenage son from a gang of bullies, police said . Mohammed Raja Shafiq was beaten across the back of the head with an iron bar and then stabbed in the stomach on Tuesday.

Lancashire police has referred the matter to the Independent Police Complaints Commission after it emerged that they had been called by Shafiq before he went to help his son. When he arrived at the park in 15 minutes, the police were not present. A spokesman admitted that there had been “some concern” about the force’s failure to react. Shafiq was set upon after being called to Thompson Park by his son, Umar.

Condemning the bigotry of Shiv Sena, Bala Saheb and his ilk (or should I say "kin")?

My condemnation of Bal Thackery and his ilk for their opposition for the Indian Dravidian Bahujan and Dalit peoples' harvest and sun worship festival of "Chhat" pooja which is nothing but the variant of Pongal festival celebrated by Tamil speaking Indian Dravidian Bahujans and Dalits. Bal Thackeray, who was implicated with complicity in the anti-Muslim genocidal pogrom of 1992 by the Sri Krishna commission but enjoying impunity due to the inequity and corruption of the Indian political and judicial system, is warned not to drag Chennai and Tamils into his bigoted tirade against Indian Dravidian Bahujans and Dalits of North India! Chennai will be very proud to host Chhat festival and Lalu Yadav because it is a Indian Dravidian festival and NOT a Sanathanist Aryan festival like Diwali! I also condemn the hapless migrant workers from being made into a political pawn in the ethnic identity politics of Maharashtra! I support the legitimate claims for Marathi speaking Bahujans and Dalit peoples stake in employment opportunities in Mumbai, but it should come through a system of political discourse and legislative avenues giving for priority and affirmative action in employment to native residents of the state and not by violence against migrant workers and their fundamental rights as Indian citizens to work any where in India!

Let Balasaheb first oppose the evil and wily Chithbavan Brahmans and the RSS if he is a real self-respecting Maratha and an Indian Dravidian. He is just a Sanathanist Brahman Hindu fascist appeaser and mass murderer!

Comment and analysis on prison deaths in Britain:
When I psychologically commented on the reasons for prisoners to possibly lose their minds in British prisons is the inhumane, psychologically oppressive and highly sinister design of British prison cells that leaves no room for fresh light and air through rilled front doors unlike their Indian and American counterparts, I was not saying that the recent spate of deaths at the Chelmsford prison or for that matter the very high rate of prisoners being killed in British prisons were all due to suicide, and I stand by my stand that most prison deaths in Britain are indeed killings fabricated as suicide by an indifferent and conniving establishment. Even the killing of Zahed Mubarek would have been passed off as suicide but for the fact that he shared a cell with another person! And the fact that the British media is yet to carry a report on the high spate of prisoners being found killed in Chelmsford prison (five in the past nine months) and the deaths customorily attributed to suicide by a rubber stamping medical and coroner establishment, shows how the lack of shame and prejudice is an enduringly entrenched phenomena in the incorrigibly racist British media establishment.

My condemnation of Dr. Rama Doss for criticizing the DMK government on flimsy grounds:

Corrected Version 1

Clarification: My previous blog on Dr. Ramadoss titled "Throwing stones from glass houses" condemns Dr. Rama Doss for his unnecessary and unwarranted critique of the DMK Government on flimsy grounds of "police - criminal" nexus, and the anology of the "polluted Coovam river" was given to show that the police-criminal nexus is a socio-legal, systematic and institutional issue that existed from time immemorial due to a colonial police system which HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE DMK GOVERNMENT! I am re-issuing this clarification because DMK supporters who are not used to my euphemism and anology laden writing in English should not misunderstand my previous blog!

Correction and apologies: I had incorrectly failed to mention the exact number of one million signatures of Indian citizens obtained in a petition calling for Government of India to end military help to the Government of Sri Lanka that was mobilised by the Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam, and I incorrectly typed the numerals 100,000 that falsely implied that the number of signatures were just a hundred thousand! The inadvertent error is corrected herewith and I tender my apologies for my typographical over-sight!

Corrected Version 3

Throwing stones from glass houses!

I state the following commentary with all due respect to Dr. Rama Doss as an individual and leader, and in the interest of addressing impunity from a platform of bipartisan human rights!

Won't a day pass peacefully for Dr. Rama Doss without partisan picking on the DMK Government on flimsy grounds?? His latest revelation and accusation aginst the DMK Government that there is a nexus between police and gangsters is like telling that the Coovam River is badly polluted because of the DMK Government which everybody knows exists from time immemorial! The fact is that the nexus between police and criminals exists to varying levels in all nations and in India it is more due to the colonial and un-reformed oppressive police system which has not been converted into a people friendly community policing system! And the police - criminal nexus is a socio-legal issue that has existed at all times irrespective of the party in power and Dr. Rama Doss should be clearly deluded to attribute it to the DMK! He will not be talking like this today if he and all of his party functionaries were arrested, imprisoned and prosecuted for the pillaging, raping, arson and murder they let loose on more than 500 Dalit villagers across the Chidambaram parliamentary constituency on parliament election day of 1999 in order to prevent Dalits from voting, (about which the Dalit Panthers Party is very silent today because the latter is not interested in addressing the issue of impunity for atrocities against Dalits any more with their new found love for the fake (but not true) Tamil nationalism of anti-Dalit caste bigots of varying hues and shades in India!!) The DMK is paying the price today (in terms of Dr. Rama Doss turning inimical towards the DMK) for illegally showing impunity to criminal elements of the PMK who unleashed the aforesaid atrocity in 1999, and the DMK administration in 1999 (and not today) should be equally faulted for treating PMK with kid-gloves and impunity for PMK cadres' unleashing the afore-described barbaric arson, violence, murder and sexual attacks across hundreds of Dalit villages across Chidambaram parliamentary constituency on the election day of 1999! Since the PMK party grew out of criminal indulgence in violence, and expects to be treated with impunity for the past atrocities they unleashed on an organised and huge scale against Dalits, they have no locus standi to wax and vane about any criminal behaviour condoned by state authorities! Let Dr. Rama Doss first tender an apology for the barbaric and organised pogrom his party-men unleashed on Dalits across Dalit villages of the Chidambaram constituency on parliament election day of 1999 and also hand over the culprits for prosecution, and then lecture his next word on issues related to crime and law & order! I request this from him with all respect to him as an individual and a leader, and in the interest of bipartisan human rights!

Lack of culture and popular hate towards other cultures:
I never understood the debate on "multi-culturalism" in the UK. In any free and democratic country individuals and peoples should have the freedom to follow their own religious, cultural or ethnic values, dressing, marital and life choices and life style, and I never understood why the Government and media should even step in to debate this fundamental right unless they want to bully and brow-beat ethnic minority peoples and use the latter as fodder for their racist politics! When it is illegal to even debate the negatives of alternative sexual life styles like homosexuality because it could be construed as a crime, why is there a need for discussing inane cultural choices on dress, religion and marriage (some thing I never saw even in urban middle class USA where community journals would proudly display couples who had an aranged marriage from India instead of hatefully deriding their blissful marital life-style and choices like it happens in the shockingly open racism of British media!! This is may be because the land based culture of native English peoples was destroyed and the indigenous English converted into culture-less and tradition-less zombie workers for industrial and colonial capitalist cliques a few centuries ago, and are hence anti-pathic to any peoples who have a cultural and ethical component in their every day lives!! The problem with the English masses is not secularism, but they have been made to forget their real land based traditions, religion and cultural roots and hence have been taught to hate those of others by a racist media!

Psychological oppression:

One of the reasons for prisoners to possibly lose their minds in British remand prisons is the inhumane, psychologically oppressive and highly sinister design of British cells that is completely covered up by walls on all sides apart from the behaviour of the members of the prison system itself, while Indian prison cells have all open but highly secure front doors with steel rods (a practice even in the United States) that allows free and fresh air and a sense of contact with the smell and sounds of outside world, which also allows conversations with other staff and prisoners! The British ruling classes are specialists in sly and sinister psychological oppression unlike the open and honest variety in other parts of the World! Even some of the claustrophobic architectural designs of council houses are aimed at causing depression and psychological illnesses in the minds of the mostly poor and coloured peoples who live in those houses in order to secure their marginalisation! And I have not even started to write about the judgmental, cultural and racist prejudice in the British psychiatric system compared with that of USA or any other part of the World, and my dissertative analysis of the industrial capitalist systems' need to modulate, label and control human thought and behaviour that impinges' on the capitalists' (or socialist states') material exigencies while the lack of a similar exigency in the semi-Bohemian and ruralist India enables the tolerance for a wide variety of human thought, mood, behaviour and personalities, (unlike the behavioural fundamentalism of psycho-social and behavioural norms in the West, as I have seen particularly in the UK), which believes in labelling every possible manifestation of human thought, mood and behaviour from the perspective of controlling and “managing” human societal and psycho-social behaviour from the perspective of preventing losses to the material factors of the state, as manifested in the para-legal system of human behavioural management called "psychiatry", the sinister aspects of which finds rapid expression in a quasi-totalitarian nanny state such as the UK than in the USA or even India!

Corruption amongst British politicians:
The reports that most British elected legislators and politicians "employ" most members of their families in cushy jobs at the expense of the tax payer for jobs they mostly do not do, may have surprised those outside Britain who deludedly associate white skin with lack of corruption!
Mainstream British media and its in shameless indfference (and condoning of) custodial killings (or "deaths") in British prisons (something even the Sanathanist Indian media will never do!!
The fact that the death in remand prison custody of Tamil teenager Vinith Kannadasan and also the fact that the issue of five prisoners dying within the span of nine months in Chelmsford prison has not been reported by any of the mainstream broad sheets and also the BBC, shows the inherently shameless racist and prejudiced priorities of British media which places more emphasis on sensationalism !
Friend and her testimony:
I spoke to the girl-friend of the Tamil teenager who was found killed (allegedly by suicide) as a remand prisoner in Chelmsford prison the day before yesterday, and she revealed that DNA evidence and other evidence had put a huge question mark on the allegations made against her boy friend who was accused of "molestation" (or a similar crime), and that he was most probably innocent of the charges levelled against him, and that she spoke to him just two days ago and found him very optimistic and happy about being acquitted! She does not believe that he was in the frame of mind of some one who would kill himself!

Indian prisons are safer than that of British prisons:
And to compare prison deaths in Chennai, India and the highly frequent killings of prisoners in British prisons allegedly and falsely attributed to suicide, I was wrong to have said that there were no custodial prisoner deaths in Chennai central prison in the past "five years" because the truth is that there HAS NEVER BEEN A DEATH IN CHENNAI CENTRAL PRISON OF ANY REMAND PRISONER OR PRISONER SERVING A CUSTODIAL SENTENCE. Most reports of custodial deaths in India arises from police precincts of the still un-reformed colonial police system where police officials indulge in the colonially condoned method of torture, and not in prisons! This does not include incidents of prison riots that may happen in some Indian prisons!
The Acute Need For Shame In The Racist British Media:

The "popular" and broad-sheet British media's shameless silence over Chelmsford prison where five inmates have been killed (allegedly by suicide) within the last nine months shows the inherent institutional racism in British media establishment when the same media do not waste a second to rile against pigmented peoples coming to the shores of the UK or for their conservative sexual and reproductive choices because the latter people do not follow the shallow, self-destructive and callow attitudes towards sexual mores advocated by the popular Xenophobic media in the name of "assimilation"! In all probability I have to say that torture, and racist torture or racist murder without torture - of remand prisoners and prison inmates may indeed happen in British prisons, and the torture victims are possibly killed and their deaths fabricated as suicide by the culprits in uniform to escape Justice. Otherwise, there is no reason why 5 people would die in a strange and slow way of "strangulating" themselves (which is grossly misrepresented in the British media as "hanging"), in the same prison within 9 months, and three of them within the last two months!!

With the kind of psycho-social and institutional racist attitudes in Britain there is no need for a separate KKK movement! For example, British television recently featured a comedian called Roy Chubby Brown who specialises in telling very demeaning and dehumanising "Paki" jokes to his shamelessly bigoted audience who "cheer" it, and I am sure this man would be arrested if he peddled his wares in the USA, or if he had indulged in similar racist humour against Jewish peoples in the UK itself!
Killing of a teenaged Tamil inmate (Vinith Kannadasan) in a British prison and the shamefully high rate of custodial deaths in Chelmsford prison that boasts of five killings in nine months (when the Chennai prison in India has none for the past five or more years)!! So much for human rights standards of a "developed" nation vis-a-vis a "developing" nation:

Fifth prisoner found dead in nine months

I was very upset by the "alleged" suicide of a young British raised Lankan Tamil teenager and a former chemists employee - in a remand prison cell yesterday (who was also the only son of my next door neighbour and a very loving Tamil woman), who was arrested by the police just a month ago on "allegations" of "molesting" another young Tamil woman in the streets of East Ham, but remained in remand without bail! I have every reason to suspect he could have been killed in prison and it is the "third" such custodial death in the Chelmsford prison since Christmas day (and the fifth in nine months) which is a high rate of custodial killing in a prison facility for a so called "developed" nation with human rights law and is much shamefully violative of human rights standards seen even in third world custodial conditions!! (For example, there are absolutely "no" suicides or killings (not a single one) in the Chennai remand prison or the central prison of Tamil Nadu for the past five years or more!! And the British media and police usually state that the prisoners "hung" themselves when there is no way one can do it in the kind of prison cell one sees in Britain! The usual suicidal person with a suicidal instinct to die in a split second is unlikely to slowly strangle and suffocate himself to death in a planned and slow manner as claimed by the clichéd explanation usually doled out by the British police and the media whenever someone is found dead in a prison cell, and this incredible description of a slow and self-inflicted strangulation is usually based on a clichéd claim that the "bed linen" was "ripped" off and used to pull the neck against a noose in a "sitting" position (because there is no way one can "hang" from a very high and rudderless ceiling in a British prison cell)!! The British media, police and prison services are quite shameless to have a prison in Britain that boasts of five deaths in a span of few months while the British foreign minister lectures the USA on Guantanamo Bay prisoners and fair trial! In my opinion, no one can beat the snobbish, stiff, pretentious and high brow British media and institutional establishment for their very sinister and unique form of racist and self-righteous hypocrisy!! I suspect that Vinith Kannadasan was probably killed and I was particularly upset by his death because he was my neighbour's son and I had spoken to him just a month ago!! He was also innocent of the charges levelled against him in all probability because he was just ending his job at his work-place when the alleged molestation of the young woman occurred (and the woman herself reportedly asserted that she did not "see the face" of her attacker!) The prison police officer told with no remorse that there are "no counsellors" employed at the prison service on call for prisoners to talk to while feeling distressed, and even the "single" prison psychiatrist is usually not available and cannot cater to the hundreds of prisoners at the Chelmsford prison!! My Indian readers will be surprised to know about the high number of custodial killings (and also reports of rape) in British prisons and some of these deaths are fabricated as "suicide", and many of these killings of Asian prison inmates are racially motivated as the killing of Zahed Mubarak in 2000.
Here is a news report on the death (or killing) of Vinith Kannadasan in a British prison yesterday morning (and the link can be clicked on):
Fifth prisoner found dead in nine months

THERE were calls for an investigation last night after a fifth inmate was found dead in an Essex prison. Vinith Kannathasan was found hanging in his cell at Chelmsford Prison just after 5am yesterday. Paramedics were called but the 18-year-old was pronounced dead at 5.20am. The teenager was the third prisoner to die at the jail since Christmas Day and the fifth to apparently commit suicide in the past nine months. The average number of deaths at the prison, which holds nearly 700 inmates, has been one each year and the sharp rise in deaths has led to calls for action. Simon Burns, MP for West Chelmsford, said even though more was being done to counsel and support vulnerable prisoners, the help did not seem to be working. He said: “Following my debate in the House of Commons, last Monday ,I had hoped that more was being done at Chelmsford Prison to reduce the likelihood of suicides and these two suicides in the last five weeks are deeply distressing and of grave concern.“I have been in touch with the responsible Minister, Maria Eagle MP, at the Ministry of Justice, and I will be having an urgent meeting with her next week to discuss the problem and what steps can be taken, as a matter of urgency, to try and reduce these tragedies.”Across the UK, there were 67 suicides by people in custody in 2006 but last year that figure rose to 92.Last month James Sullivan, 23, seemingly took his own life at Chelmsford. And last year Stewart Kight, 38, Simon Gregory, 36, and 18-year-old Sudanese national Joker Idris were all found dead. Prison governor Rob Davis told the EADT last month he took every death in custody at Chelmsford Prison “extremely seriously.” He said: “As with all prisons, there are a high proportion of very vulnerable individuals in the prison and staff continue to make strenuous efforts in this vital area of work in dealing with a challenging prison population.“Many more lives are saved than lost, thanks to good care and support from staff.“I remain committed to the support of vulnerable prisoners and will continue to work with my staff to prevent such tragic incidents.”A Prison Service spokesperson said: “Chelmsford prisoner Vinith Kannathasan was found hanging in his cell at 5.05am on Tuesday February 12. “Paramedics were called but he was pronounced him dead at 5.20am.“Our sympathies are with the family of Mr Kannathasan at this time. As with all deaths in custody, the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman will conduct an investigation".

Clarification:

I cannot assume or deny motives for the recent attack I suffered from some young Lankan Tamil staff members of a shop called "Seelan's" and I cannot pre-judge or deny that it was politically influenced and I did not intend to make or deny such an assumption, and I can only speculate on the reasons. The attack may have very well been a result of emotionally volatile and culturally prejudiced behaviour of young Tamil refugee men scarred of having lived in a conflict prone violence, which can be found in some refugee individuals of all races and ethnicities from conflict zones, or it could have been one of the reasons I speculated on in previous blogs but one may never know the true motive, given the fact my attackers were not arrested but I was prejudicially arrested by the police on expedient and prejudiced charges of assault when I was in fact provoked and shoved by a bunch of men to act in self-defence! I am stating this despite the possible charge and prosecution I may still face on the prejudiced charge of "common assault" slapped on me despite acting in self-defence! My identification of the ethnicity of my attackers and my subsequent socio-psychological critique of Eelam Tamil expatriate condition was not based on prejudice towards Eelam Tamils but only based on my interest in Eelam Tamil welfare by giving a constructive feed-back towards their expatriate conditions (aspects of which I may loathe in the interests of Eelam Tamil welfare and development but I have no hatred for any peoples whether they are Eelam Tamil or non-Tamil), and such a constructive critical social commentary does not affect my interest in bipartisan advocacy for the human rights, humanitarian rights, and conceptual but unequivocal bipartisan support for the armed and civilian struggle for the right to self-determination of Eelam Tamils in their nationally independent self-ruled homeland.

I condemn the surveillance on Chirugaru:

I condemn the surveillance on Chirugaru by the Congress led Andhra Pradesh Government which is against all democratic norms and civil liberties and I condemn this anti-democratic and dictatorial measure of the YSR Government! And I feel that the recent opinion poll that was "engineered" to show that YSR is more popular than Chirugaru is a fabrication! Congress party in Andhra Pradesh is scared to its very bones about the political entry of Chirugaru, and hence I request the Mega star not to be intimidated by such cunning and totalitarian tactics! All his fans are totally behind him!!

Rowan Williams and Muslim Civil Law in Britain:
I think what the Archbishop of Canterbury meant was to allow Muslims to practice their religion based civil law on marriage and inheritance matters, which the British always did when they ruled over Muslims in India, and a similar practice of Jewish civil law exists in Britain, and I fail to understand what this hullabaloo is all about, given the fact most of British law has medieval church origins.

Why Godse killed Gandhi
By Kanchan Gupta

The right wing RSS sympathising columnist Mr. Kanchan Gupta has condoned Mahatma Gandhi's murder in a dastardly misuse of freedom of speech and also implores readers to read books that justify Gandhi's assassination, in the column excerpted above!! In the spirit of freedom of speech, this Sanathanist columnist's advocacy to justify and condone the assassination of the father of the nation and his call to sympathise with the Mahatma's murderers should be tolerated! But it has to be pointed out that none of the inhumane, hypocritical and anti-Tamil swine in the Tamil Nadu Congress party such as Gnana Sekaran, Krishnasamy, Peter Alphonse, EVKS. Elangovan, et.al., who cry foul and seek to criminalise freedom of speech by calling for the arrest of anyone who speaks out for the legitimacy of the human rights and armed struggle of Eelam Tamils, is going to ask for the arrest of the likes of Kanchan Gupta for justifying Mahatma Gandhi's assassination and seeking sympathy for his assassins, while they selectively rile against the likes of Thiruma Valavan when the latter criticized the expedient misuse of Rajiv Gandhi' assassination to thwart freedom of speech and advocacy for Eelam struggle and human rights! And it has to be pointed out that the likes of Kanchan Gupta are not uncommon and one can find many such opinion and advocacy justifying Mahatma Gandhi's murder and glorification of the Mahatma's Hindu fascist Sanathanist assassins, even to the extent of enacting a stage play glorifying Nathuram Godse, but curiously the likes of hypocritical imbeciles such as Gnana Sekaran, Krishna Samy, EVKS. Elangavon, etc., keep their mouth shut and appease such brazen misuse of freedom of speech that justifies the assassination of the very father of the nation and glorifies his killers, when their appeasing lap-dog mentality works over-time to oppress simple freedom of speech in support of Eelam Tamil struggle and human rights, and to brazenly even threaten the dismissal of the DMK Government on the latter account?!! Why are they quiet when the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, the very father of the nation and the Congress party, is justified and condoned in the name of freedom of speech?? The answer is simple and is as follows: there is no money or power to be gained by opposing those who justify and glorify the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, while by working overtime to show their anti-Tamil credentials by oppressing freedom of speech advocating Eelam struggle and human rights, these "Tamil" politicians of the Congress party in Tamil Nadu hope to wallow in power, wealth and patronage of their "Delhi" masters!! These unscrupulous political pimps of the Congress Party who betray even the father of the nation should be chucked out of Tamil Nadu state - lock, stock and barrel!!

No prizes for guessing what will happen if someone writes or speaks justifying the assassination of Rajeev Gandhi and glorifying his assassins just as the aforesaid columnist who had justified the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi and glorified his assassins! In India, one can justify the murder of the father of the nation and glorify his assassins, in the name of freedom of speech, but not of anyone else in the name of political analysis!! Mind you, I am not justifying the assassination or assassins of Rajeev Gandhi, but pointing out the double standards that are applied with regards to freedom of speech!
Racist barring of Indian and Commonwealth doctors from the NHS:
Click on the link below:
The news headline is deceptive and misleading because the NHS does not close its doors to all foreign doctors, but only to non-white, non-Australian and non-EU doctors with pigmented skin from commonwealth countries such as India. The factor of preserving training posts for British doctors that is cited as a reason for this measure is a lame and invalid excuse, because the deluge of job applications from EU doctors and doctors from new EU nations from Eastern Europe will not be blocked by this measure, thus exposing the selectively racist premise of this measure!! If foreign doctors are to be barred from NHS training jobs to preserve the latter for British doctors, why only block commonwealth doctors from the NHS but not EU and Aussie doctors who need not even take the qualifying exams such as PLAB? This is simply a racist measure against Commonwealth doctors and the Governments of Commonwealth nations such as India should protest this measure with reciprocal measures against British commercial and trade interests! And the non-application of qualifying and licensure exams such as PLAB and English languuage tests on EU trained doctors (and particularly Eastern European EU doctors) while Commonwealth doctors are subjected to such stringent tests, is another example of such racist double standards!

British Tamils mark Sri Lanka's '60 years of Oppression'

Correected Version 1 (corrections not highlighted)
My fundamental nature:
People who have read my freewheeling, advocating and analytical opinion on various socio-political issues should not think I am some kind of a member of any political or ideological movement. Just like some people are hooked to video games, I am hooked to the hobby of blogging and writing on various issues, and issues related to politics and movies interests me most. I do not subscribe to any particular school of ideology but I am essentially a libertarian social democrat and draw on the ideas of Indian social thinkers Periyar and Ambedkar, and I am very interested in the welfare and liberation of Indian Dravidian peoples from the fraudulent construct of the Hindu label and Hindu law that divides them into various hierarchical castes and negates their independent Dravidian religious identities while fooling them into accepting this division and oppression by imposing the Hindu label on both the non-Sanathanist Indian Dravidians and (Vedic - Upanishadic) Sanathanist ("twice born") religionists (Brahmans, Kshatriyas and Vysya - Baniyas) when in theological and legal reality based on Hindu law all Indian Dravidian Bahujans (the so called "Shudras" or Backward Classes) Dalits and indigenous peoples are explicitly, theologically and legally banned from scriptural and sacramental membership of the racio-exclusivist (Vedic and Upanishadic) Sanathanist religion, while Sanathanists negate and co-opt the non-Sanathanist religious identities of Indian Dravidians through the blanket "Hindu" label and also monopolise priesthood in Dravidian religion temples in order to make the Indian Dravidians accept the divide and rule caste system unquestioningly by making them believe the lie that they share a theological religion with the Sanathanists when the legal and theological position is that they do not. Hence the need to abrogate the Hindu law and Hindu label (which is applied on "one and all" except Muslims, Christians, Jews and Zoroastrians, even though Indian Dravidians amongst these "one and all" are explicitly banned from scriptural and sacramental membership in the Sanatanist religion legally codified as Hinduism), and ban the term Hinduism, and give legal recognition to non-Sanathanist religions independent of the "Hindu label" (such as Saivism, various Dravidian rural, indigenous and folk schools of religions of Bahujans, Dalits and indigenous peoples, Lingayatism, Dravidian Vaisnavism, Buddhism Sikhism, Jainism, Ayya Pathism, Madura Veeranism, Mei Vazhi religion), or any other rural, folk and indigenous codified or non-codified religion of non-Sanathanist Indian Dravidian Bahujans, Dalits and indigenous peoples). Affirmative action for Bahujans (BCs), Dalits and indigenous peoples should be idependent of their religious belief and should be certainly independent of the "Hindu" label. My LLM dissertation on this subject which was written in 2004, can be accessed by clicking on the following web link, and may be a bit dated, given the refinement I have made on this subject since. http://iniyan.blogspot.com/2004_08_29_archive.html#109414611939698933

My Unsolicited Opinion To Chirugaru: Former President Abdul Kalam is a closet BJP worhsipping Hindu fascist, appeaser of Sanathanist Brahman "twice born" racists of the RSS, and a namesake Muslim, and hence his advice will be against the interests of Indian Dravidian non-Sanathanist (and non-Brahman) Bahujans (BCs), Dalits and indigenous peoples. Hence do not heed anything he told you in the meeting you had with him last friday. This is my humble advice in the interests of Telegu speaking non-Sanathanist (non-Hindu) Indian Dravidian Bahujan (BC), Dalit and indigenous peoples.

My condemnation:

I unequivocally condemn the attack on Congress party functionary Jogiah's house just because he had praised Megastar Chiranjeevi and supported his entry into political activism! Chief Minister Raja Sekhar Reddy should take full responsibility for this dastardly attack on Jogiah's house and offer an apology (just as Chrugaru did when actor Rajasekar was allegedly attacked) and the Congress workers who indulged in the attack should be arrested and prosecuted properly (when the alleged attackers of Raja Sekar unilaterally and magnanimously surrendered to the police)!! If Chief Minister Raja Sekar Reddy does not act against the attackers of Jogiah by arresting and prosecuting them and also by tendering an apology to Mr. Jogiah, he would have shown that in fact it was he who was behind this attack on Jogiahgaru!

Cong men attack Jogaiah’s house

Hyderabad, Feb. 3: Senior Congress leader V. Harirama Jogaiah’s Madhapur residence was attacked by a group of Congress workers on Sunday. Mr Jogaiah alleged that the attack was staged at the behest of the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. The MP, who has earned the ire of Dr Reddy’s loyalists for frequently praising the film actor Chiranjeevi who expects to launch a political party, and criticising the Chief Minister, said the assault was led by followers of the City Congress president, Mr D. Nagender.

Anti-Tamil bigotry of "The Hindu":
I have no problem if "The Hindu" is anti-LTTE, but an objective analysis by any journalism student for a Masters thesis to establish that "The Hindu newspaper is against Tamil human rights and supportive of Sri Lankan Government's atrocities and violations against Tamils in its biased news reports, editorial analysis and columns" can be easily proved with qualitative analysis of secondary sources from the media, and I may even reccommend some friends studying media to take up such a thesis.

Corrected Version 1
Civil society advocacy for Eelam Tamil human rights in India:

In Tamil there is a saying which goes "Thaan Adaavittalum Than Sadhai Aadum", (even if one doesn't care, ones' flesh and blood cares), and that is how I feel when I write about human rights issues concerning Indian Dravidians living all over South Asia, which also includes Eelam Tamils, (apart from the Bahujans, Dalits and indigenous peoples all over India). Hence, even though I feel like giving myself a sabbatical on blogging about socio-political issues, I can't some times. Here is a photo report that shows volunteers of Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam collecting one million signatures in a petition calling for the Government of India to stop all military help to Government of Sri Lanka and its military that has been carrying on a covert campaign of genocide, disappearances, crimes against humanity and war crimes (such as the recent Sri Lankan military triggered blasts that killed scores of children and also civilians in different parts of the Tamil homeland in Sri Lanka). I wish most Eelam Tamils who are living cosily abroad without any such civil society activism or advocacy for the human rights of Eelam Tamils, motivate themselves to indulge in similar civil society advocacy for the human rights of Eelam Tamils (such as the one by Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam) in order to end the impunity enjoyed by the peretrators of genocide, pogroms and crimes against humanity suffered by Eelam Tamils and also to explain the legitimacy of the need for Tamil right to self-rule in their own nation and the struggle for the latter (which cannot be construed as any partisan brief or association for any particular proscribed or unproscribed militant faction or outfit)

Condemnation:

I again place on record my condemnation for the provocative insults uttered by ADMK chief and former chief-minister Ms. Jaya Lalitha in the legislative assembly and the provocative behaviour of her party men!!

Friday, February 01, 2008

I am temporarily suspending all my free wheeling socio-political blogging in this blog for the time being because I need to concentrate on more organised and not so free-wheeling issues and projects related to my person and profession.
Corrected Version 1

Condemnation:

The unnecessary insults heaped on Professor Anblalagan and other DMK dignitaries in the legislative assembly by ADMK chief and former chief minister Jaya lalitha are unequivocally condemnable, and the bedlam that ensued from both sides could have been avoided if she had stuck to her critique of the particular issue she was expounding (such as her advocacy against unawful activities for proscribed organisations), and she should not have descended into subjective and insulting critique of individuals such as Professor Anbalagan while making her request to establish a legal panel of legal experts to look into the legal issue of freedom of speech and proscribed activity, which may actually be an intellectually interesting exercise, the conclusions of which may not support her views on freedom of speech. I state this with all due respect to her as woman and a lady in politics.

I condemn the racist and anti-Dalit measure of the Manmohan Singh led central Government that denies educational aid to Dalit students in private professional institutions, and I thank Dr. Kalaignar for refusing to abide by this measure:
I strongly condemn the Government of India's recent rule that Dalit students should have attained 60% marks at the intermediate or higher secondary level to avail financial aid for tuition fees in professional institutions which is a racist and retrograde step by the Sanathanist racist clique in New Delhi under the Congress dispensation. Like in the UK, tuition fees should be universally waived up to undergraduate level and cheap student loans made available to cover fees on very low interest at the Masters and higher education level, (that would be payable after several years) and education at all levels be made universal, free, subsidised and accessible just as in the UK. I thank Dr. Kalaignar to refuse to bow to the centre's racist and anti-Dalit measure and I strongly condemn the Manmohan Singh Government for this measure!!

News report : Bomb blast kills 4 civilians, injures 15 in Jaffna:
Corrected Version 1
Shameless Anti-Indian Sanathanist racism:
The recent manipulative and Goebellsian media coverage and reports in the mainstream Sanathanist media (such as the Hindustan Times, Times of India, The Hindu, Daily Pioneer, etc.,) against the Sethu Canal project is because the project will empower Indian Dravidians. This is another example of the shameless bigotry indulged in by India's own media against a project empowering India's own people, but this is because (for the uninitiated), the Sanathanist "twice born" racist clique ruling India (and running the mainstream media) will not tolerate any empowerment of Indian Dravidians divided and ruled by the caste system, who are deluded into accepting their division, caste based exploitation and misery by a fabricated religious label imposed on both the apartheid clique and peoples thus divided and ruled. That is why the DMK led administration was bullied and anti-democratically unseated from power many times in the past by misusing article 356 when Sanathanist and pro-Sanathanist or Hindu fascist criminals against humanity who indulge in pogroms and atrocities continue to enjoy power as state chief ministers across India ! That is why the Sethu Canal project is opposed because it empowers the Indian Dravidians! That is why the DMK Government is bullied on the so called LTTE issue when the DMK administration has clearly stated that supporters of the latter who violate the unlawful activities prevention act will be penalised and arrested, when even a hapless and innocent doctor like me was arrested on false charges of "conspiracy to give medicine", but on the other hand Kashmiri separatist parties and leaders who have separatism as an open option in their party constitution are allowed to function and speak out freely! That is why bipartisan human rights advocates such as myself who speak for rights violations and atrocities suffered by Eelam Tamils (such as the ones suffered by Tamil civilians during Indian army or Sri Lankan army operations) and who offer a conceptual bipartisan support for the armed struggle for the latter's nationhood are derided as "LTTE associates" (when I have been a vocal bipartisan critique of the latter in equal measure), but on the other hand Kashmiri separatist political leaders who carry out rallies against atrocities of the Indian army in Kashmir (with good reason and evidence, I reckon), and who openly threaten separatism are not blemished or defamed as "associates of Hizbul Mujahideen or Lashkar-e-Toyeba" by the shamelessly bigoted Sanathanist media!!

War Crime by the Sri Lankan Army: 17 Tamil civilians, mostly children, who were killed by the Sri Lankan military's mine attack a day ago, are buried amongst scenes of extreme sorrow, in a church service!!

Corrected Version 1
Speculating on the reasons for my recent attack and victimisation:
With regards to the recent attack I suffered at the hands of Lankan Tamil men and my prejudiced arrest as a result of my attackers’ malicious complaint and fabrication against my act of self defence, I can say that my victimisation could not have happened without a motive because the employees of this shop were known to treat me with respect and admiration for 6 years until two months ago, when the first incident that involved my ill treatment happened. There could be some reasons why I was victimised (and I am hypothetically speculating here). I had been extremely critical of a Tamil film that was released on Pongal day for various reasons well known to the readers of this blog. The producers of this film are London based Tamil businessmen of Sri Lankan origin who could have easily had a reason to be angry with me at the behest of (or along with) the director!! The second reason could be some of my views that called for an equitable enforcement of the law proscribing organisations by subjecting the rich and influential in the same and equitable manner for associating with the so called proscribed organisations while political and human rights activists are expediently and selectively oppressed for their freedom of speech or alleged humanitarian activity by selectively misusing laws proscribing organisations. Or it could have been some other view I wrote or some other reason. I am only speculating here, but one thing for sure is that something I wrote angered somebody.

I condemn actor Rajasekar for his tasteless derision of Megastar Chiranjeevi:

Actor Chiranjeevi showed that he is a gentleman politician with great tolerance for freedom of speech, by apologising to actor Rajasekar whose convoy and family were allegedly attacked by Chirugaru's fans, because Rajasekhar criticised Chiruji for the latter's alleged "inexperience" in politics!

Rajasekar's convoy and family should not have been attacked, but at the same time Rajasekar was talking absolute crap when he said that he won't be joining Chirugaru's party because he is "inexperienced"!!

But let me ask Dr. Rajasekar, did NTR have any political experience before he floated the Telugu Desam party?

I condemn Dr. Rajasekar for his dishonest and tasteless attack on Chirugaru. Instead of commenting on one's capabilities and experience, he should be commenting on issues. And Dr. Raja Sekar mostly depends on actor Sai Kumar's dubbing, and when he can't even be a confident and experienced actor to dub his own dialogue, how can he have the temerity to denigrate Chiranjeevigaru's experience and capabilities as a budding politician!? In a democracy every citizen has the right to be a politician and the so called "experience" is nothing but a myth!

My advice to Rajasekar: First succeed in making people accept your voice as an actor so that you can claim to be an "experienced" actor with real "acting experience" (such as speaking your own dialogue), before you deride the experience of others in other fields!! Don't talk through your head and disrespectfully about others, because you neither have a complete acting experience nor political experience!

The attack on Rajasekar's convoy and his family was wrong and condemnable, but so was Rajasekar's tastless derision of Chiranjeevi!

The real reason for Rajasekar's disrespectful derision of Chiranjeevi is the "caste factor" and nothing else.
To the Congress Party: The test for freedom of speech lies in tolerating views that are intolerable to you, and by this measure the Congress party has shown to be intolerant of freedom of speech. I state this as a bipartisan civil libetrarian and not as a partisan!!
My stand:
Let me unequivocally state that I support the human rights, humanitarian rights and right to self determination of Eelam Tamils and the armed struggle for the latter conducted within the laws of war and human rights law, and this bipartisan and objective stand is not negated by my brash criticism of what I see as negative traits in the expatriate Eelam Tamil community, or for that matter my bitartisan criticism of any aspect of the Eelam Tamil condition. I reserve my right to be unsympathetically critical of what I see as negatives in the expatriate Eelam Tamil community or even the militancy, and I do this with the interest of furthering the goal of the resolution of the conflict in terms of redressal of Tamil aspirations for self rule in their national homeland and ensuring the welfare of the Tamil people suffering in Lanka who cannot afford to fly off to the West, unlike the expatriates!! It may be healthy to have somebody like me who will give unsympathetic critical feedback, in the larger interests of the Eelam Tamil people and their clamour for nationhood!

Corrected Version 1

Note on my advocacy on the legal issues concerning proscribed organisations:

From an objective and bipartisan point of equitable application of the law, I had given my views concerning issues of freedom of speech and association involving proscribed organisations, which is to say that while the former (freedom of speech in support of proscribed organisation in the context of political discourse) is legal, the latter (association with proscribed organisations) is not! This is simply a view from an equitable legal and judicial point of view, and I am not for or against the proscription of any organisation, including the LTTE. I will have no cause to protest if the proscribed status on LTTE is lifted tomorrow, but I am only against the selective misuse of the law proscribing organisations to persecute and imprison activists' freedom of speech (like the man who found himself in jail for singing a song in praise of Eelam in the nineties), while the rich and powerful celebrities, actors, directors and politicians get away with open association and meetings with proscribed organisations!! I am for the equitable application of the law, if a law exists. If the law does not exist, (like for example if the LTTE was not proscribed), there will not be any need for such a debate and every one can be quite happy! But I am against selective and expedient application of the law, to victimise the weak and the powerless!

Malayalam actor Bharat Gopi passes away:

He was a great talent (even though I disapproved of his confused justification for joining the Hindu fascist BJP). He was politically wrong and confused, but still a great actor.

Request to Mr. Gnana Sekaran of the Congress Party: Please apply the law equitably and correctly

The Viduthalai Chiruthaigal leader is correct to defend the freedom of speech to support the human rights and nationhood of Eelam Tamils and the armed struggle of the latter (which has to invariably mention the LTTE), from the point of view law.

But since I am a bipartisan advocate for the equitable implementation of the law and human rights, I would say that the law is broken only when some one directly associates with members of an unlawful organisation, and NOT by expressing the freedom of speech to support the proscribed organisation.

But at the same time I have to mention and emphasize that partisans like the Congress party, DMK administration and the law enforcement officials are not taking action against individuals who directly met and associated with members and leaders of unlawful and proscribed organisations which was widely reported in the media, but are indulging in a fascist debate about criminalising freedom of speech.

My challenge to the leaders of the Congress party such as Gnana Sekaran: If you are really interested in enforcing the laws proscribing unlawful organisations you should be calling for the arrest of individuals, celebrities and politicians who met and associated with leaders of proscribed organisations (that included celluloid luminaries such as Barathi Raaja, Mahendran, Nizhalgal Ravi, etc., and also other politicians), BUT, he should not be calling for an inequitable, illegal and partisan application of the law to criminalise freedom of speech! He should ask for a just and equitable application of the law, and NOT for an illegal and fascist misuse of the law to selectively and illegally criminalise freedom of speech!!
Scenes of activism from India:

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Activists of the All Indian United Muslim Front shout slogans during a protest in New Delhi, on 23 August 2004. The activists demanded for an amendment in article 341 of the constitution in order to re-include Muslims of Dalit descent in the Scheduled Caste (SC) category , who were ousted of SC reservation in 1950 on the grounds of religion. AFP PHOTO/Prakash SINGH (Photo credit should read PRAKASH SINGH/AFP/Getty Images

Note: I stand by my comments regarding the oppressive experience I recently had with goons of Lankan Tamil background from a shop in East Ham called "Seelan's" who attacked me and then framed me to get me maliciously arrested even though I acted in self defence. I will keep the readers informed as developments in the case unfolds, since I am out on bail still facing a possible charge and prosecution.
Thol. Thiruma Valavan defends freedom of speech, a crucial liberty:
Photo Essay: Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Party leader Thol. Thiruma Valavan takes out a huge rally and meeting in defence of freedom of speech to speak out for the human rights and the armed struggle of Eelam Tamils, in Chennai, India. From the point of view of upholding the right to free speech, the advocacy of Thol. Thirumavalavan was crucial and seminal. The attempt to misuse laws proscribing unlawful organisations to criminalise and oppress freedom of speech (when the same issue of freedom of speech is used to shed crocodile tears for Taslima Nasreen because she is a useful tool to deride Islam) should be resisted at all costs.

Tamil Nadu Congress Party's illegal hypocrisy that seeks to criminalise freedom of speech is fascist:
If the leaders of the Tamil Nadu Congress party truly wanted a proper implementation of the law proscribing organisations, they would be calling for the arrest of individuals and organisations who openly associated with unlawful organisations, such as the celebrities, actors, directors and politicians I mentioned before (and I need not repeat their names)! But they are not calling for that, but they are illegally calling for arresting someone for exercising their freedom of speech, which is politically expedient!! It is not illegal to exercise one's freedom of speech to support the armed struggle of Eelam Tamils and also the main player in that struggle, namely the LTTE, within the discourse of such a support for the armed struggle of a peoples, since it comes under the gambit of freedom of speech, as affirmed by the Supreme Court of India!! But what is illegal is to associate with unlawful organisations, but the Congress party is not asking for action against an assorted number of directors and celebrities who openly associated with unlawful organisations, but are asking for criminalising the legal expression of freedom of speech, which is fascist!! The fact that both the Tamil Nadu Congress party and the state authorities are not asking for action against those who openly associated with unlawful organisations, but going down the fascist road of debating criminalising of freedom of speech, shows the regressive nature of the Indian political psyche, and in particular that of the Tamil Nadu Congress politicians!!

Tamil writer Su. Samuthiram and his death:

The death of Tamil writer Su. Samuthiram in an accident a few years ago affected me, but what affected me more were some news reports that said that the authorities at the private hospital in Chennai (where he he was taken after his road accident) refused to give him the emergency medical care and delayed the medical treatment that cost his life, because the hospital authorities assumed that he or his family will not be able to pay for the treatment because of the dark black colour of his skin, (even though his family could have very well paid the fees and more)!! If this allegation is true, and if Su. Samuthiram died because some people associated poverty with skin colour (which is again no reason for denying humane medical treatment even if the hospital thought some one cannot pay), this shows the bigoted psyche in India that stigmatises, inferiorizes and devalues dark skin of the Indian Dravidians!

Sinister experience:

The two most humiliating experiences that arose out of getting victimised and attacked recently, and then getting arrested despite my action in self defence and calling the cops due to the lies and fabrications of my assailants (of Lankan Tamil background), were - the three hours I spent in the lock up at the station, and of course the police taking routine samples of my body fluids for their big brother DNA library (which means that the powers that be can frame and falsely accuse me with any crime if they want to really screw me, since they now have my DNA with which they can create false evidential presence of my DNA any where!!) I will never forgive my assailants for making me undergo the most humiliating and scary experience of my life (at the hands of the police) with their violence and then their deviant behaviour of framing me!! This is not funny but extremely dangerous and sinister, and was extremely traumatising to me more than the attack itself!

I will take a leaf out of my fellow Eelam Tamils way of living abroad as I see in the UK, and just as they do, I will not write, say or advocate anything for the human rights, humanitarian rights and the armed struggle for Tamils in Lanka, since they themselves do not write, say or advocate anything activistically in this regard at an individual or civil society level, and focus only on money making, family, religion, astrology, Tamil movies and self centred pleasures, just as they do, and leave such advocacy to the militants and pro-militant media organs and websites, just as they do! Just as they do, one should just bother themselves with a namesake appearance in the annual meeting of the martyrs day of militants, and then pursue money and the joy of living to their heart's content!! I should do the same and stop my thankless and unrecognised activism for the human rights, humanitarian rights and conceptual support to the armed struggle of Eelam Tamils, and leave it all to the militants and their organs! Why should I indulge in unilateral media advocacy for the human rights and humanitarian rights for Eelam Tamils, and get into trouble, when Eelam Tamil individuals and civil society themselves do not bother to do anything in this regard, and are only concerned about money, religion, family and their self centred needs?

I am not joking when I said that even the advocating and activist mind of DMK supporting workers in a barber shop in Tamil Nadu is absent amongst Eelam Tamils and their civil society! Particularly, given the English education of the second generation, they can do much more, but they do not!

Even when six dozen children were killed in Chencholai, none of these Tamil shops or businesses distributed pamphlets or displayed posters to highlight the atrocity to white or non-Tamil customers! This was baffling to me, because even in Tamil Nadu the activism was in high voltage after that atrocity!

There are more individual and civil society advocates for Eelam Tamil human rights and humanitarian rights in Indian Tamil Nadu than amongst expatriate Tamils in the UK, where they are only a handful!! This is not an exaggeration!!

A lot of grocery stores and departmental stores are owned by Eelam Tamils and if they had wanted to, they could have displayed posters and also kept pamphlets in their shops for white customers to read about the legitimacy of the Tamil struggle, pogroms, crimes against humanity and oppression suffered by Tamils in Sri Lanka, so that they can lobby and create opinion in favour of Tamil rights and self rule in Lanka amongst white people. While Muslims display similar posters and distribute pamphlets about their religion and human rights in their shops, I have not seen a single Tamil shop distribute such advocacy pamphlets or display posters that will educate the non-Tamil people about the struggle and oppression suffered by the Tamils in Lanka. They display only posters regarding annual militant related meetings and (some times) militant related images, and ofcourse images concerning Tamil movies. Given the access to a large cross section of society who visit these shops, they can even distribute books about the 1983 pogrom free of cost to customers to educate them about Tamil suffering. But none of such advocacy or activism happens, and this is because, I suspect, the so called migrants from Sri Lanka don't really care whether they get a nation or not, and don't really care about being activists and advocates for the Tamil cause. Unlike Dalits, Palestinians, etc., not a single expatriate Eelam Tamil I had met is an individual activist or advocate for the human rights and struggle of Tamils, and some times I wonder why should I or similar Periyarists or Ambedkarites should indulge in activism for Eelam Tamil human rights and struggle, when Eelam Tamils living abroad themselves (as far as I see in the UK) do not care beyond their businesses or jobs, families, Tamil movies, temples, astrologers and similar mundane and material related selfish activities, and do not indulge in any kind of political or human rights advocacy or activism, whether they are educated or uneducated. In other words, any kind of political or rights related thought, action or advocacy does not even cross their mind, and they live and function as if they have no subjective stake in what is happening in Lanka, as if they are not Tamils from a political sense, except when it comes to the annual meetings concerning militants.

This is extremely baffling to me and can be only explained by the fact Eelam Tamils living abroad do not have an activist psyche and more importantly, do not have a subjective Tamil nationalistic psyche. Then I wonder, why should activists like me get into trouble for doing advocacy for Eelam Tamil rights, when individual Eelam Tamils themselves do nothing at the individual or civil society level in terms of activism and advocacy like they way me and other Ambedkarite or Periyarist activists do??

Before ordinary Indian Tamil civil society and individuals are asked to indulge in activism and advocacy for the Eelam Tamil cause, one would like to see the same from individuals and civil society of Eelam Tamils living abroad (as I see in the UK)!

Scenes of Indian Dravidian Dalit suffering in India:

A 16 year old teenaged Dalit woman initiated and exploited as a temple prostitute as part of the "Hindu" traditions with her illegitimate child. Temple prostitution known as "devadasi" system in general (or as "Jogini" in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka), is still prevalent in many parts of India except in Tamil Nadu where it was summarily wiped out due to the Dravidian "self-respect" movement! Unfortunately this barbaric tradition still continues in all most other parts of rural India, including Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Jogini System Still Plagues Rural India
ANDHRA PRADESH, INDIA - AUGUST 23: Savithasan, 16 year-old (featured in the photo), rests with her second baby, Sai, in her mud hut in this photo taken on August 23, 2005 in Mehbubnagar, in Andhra Pradesh, India. She is a Jogini, or 'servant of god' and was married off to the local deity when she was 14 years old because she got pregnant after a man raped her and her family did not want her to live in shame. Instead they felt it was better for her to be named a jogini since she would not be able to marry any man with a child out of wedlock. She has become the property of the men in the village. On the night of her initiation, after reaching puberty, the joginis are offered to an upper caste village elder or landlord. As months and years go by, most of the men in the village end up exploiting these girls. Jogini, Mathamma, Basivi?in different regions of Andhra Pradesh they go by different names but they are all variations of a similar tradition of sexual exploitation of poor, illiterate Dalit women in the name of religion. The practice dates back some 2,000 years and is still deeply ingrained in the local Telangana culture. (Photo by Ami Vitale/Getty Images)

The attack I suffered and my arrest for acting in self-defence:

Given my recent victimisation and physical attack at the hands of some hooligans of Lankan Tamil background, and the maliciously prejudiced and racist arrest I suffered despite acting in self defence, which was in turn caused and facilitated by the malicious lies and fabrications of my prejudiced and vile assailants, and the possibility of me still facing charges of “common assault” and a trial for acting in self defence to protect myself, I will be informing the readers on any further development on the issue, as and when it unfolds, because the matter is still sub-judice, and I will know what happens to it when my bail expires in the first week of March.

Mahatma Jyotiaba hailed from Maharashtra and was a fore-runner to Ambedkar and Periyar in peeling off many layers of Sanathanist Aryan racism and apartheid that masqueraded as a false and fraudulent religion to enslave, divide and rule the Indian Dravidians with the caste system, and whose fight has to be taken to the next stage by way of the reforms that seeks to defabricate and abrogate the Hindu label, as I oft repeat and reinforce in this blog and my other blogs.

The attack I suffered and my arrest for acting in self-defence:

Sri Lanka's mining of the maritime border with India by using under-water anti-personnel mines violates International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law:

The use of anti-personnel mines along inter-national borders prone to civilian traffic is prohibited under international law and humanitarian law, and is also inhumane and barbaric. Planting under-water mines arbitrarily along the maritime border of India and Sri Lanka (and no one will know where exactly they are planted) will only ensure that innocent civilians and fishermen will be killed while venturing into waters for fishing and sport. This is a view from a humanitarian and human rights point of view, and is not based on any partisan brief. If India allows the mining of the international maritme border with Sri Lanka, will India also "mine" its borders with Pakistan, China and Bangla Desh to prevent civilians from crossing over by posing them the threat of getting killed by mines?? Sri Lankan Government's decision to plant anti-personnel mines under water along Indian maritime borders is the most barbaric and inhumane measure that has been taken by any Government in recent times, and is aimed at curtailing civilian contact and commerce between the Tamil populace in Sri Lanka and India, and to kill the fishermen venturing into the sea than anything else!! This blatant inhumane measure should not be allowed by the Government of India, because if allowed it will set a precedent that will be a direct challenge to the territorial sovereignty of India, because arbitrarily mining international borders by one nation is a direct challenge to the borders of the other, unless and otherwise both nations take a joint operation to mine the borders together, because arbitrary planting of anti-personnel mines by one nation will only mean that the sanctity of the border can be arbitrarily violated and mines plantes whimsically and unilaterally by one nation at will even within Indian territorial waters! Hence, such a mining of international borders between India and Sri Lanka will be a violation and challenge to the unity and integrity of India, if allowed to be done unilaterally and without bilateral operation between the two countries!! And ofcourse India cannot be expected to kill its own Indian (Tamil) citizens and fisermen by mining its own borders at the behest of another nation which will be the most farcical thing any Government or state has done anywhere in the World! And if India does get into a "bilateral" arrangement to mine its borders with Sri Lanka the prejudice harboured by the ruling Sanathanist clique in India against the Indian citizens of Tamil Nadu will be there for all to see!!

This unilateral mining of the international maritime borders between India and Sri Lanka should be scrapped, and if not - all parties in Tamil Nadu should bring out a massive agitation against it!!

Bodies found in Sri Lanka forest

Pit of bodies discovered in Sri Lanka after rebel conflict

An editorial from the latest edition of the journal "Periyar Muzhakkam" that interested me, since it condemns the Government of Kerala for refusing to allow a holiday for the festival of Pongal to Tamils living in predominantly Tamil populated areas of Kerala, while the Government of Tamil Nadu magnanimously awarded a holiday for the Keralite festival of Onam without any hesitation! I join in the condemnation of the Government of Kerala and its Marxist led Government for this blatant bigotry against Tamils living in Kerala:

Republic Day of India and my perennial message!

I salute the people's republic I was born into, and call upon my fellow citizens of India to make it a better and more workable republic for the people of India, by fundamentally working towards disomantling the caste system by abrogating the fraud of the Hindu label which divides and rules the non-Sanathanist Indian Dravidians via the caste system and negates their non-Sanathanist religious identities, along the reforms I have advocated in this blog, so that Indian Dravidian Bahujans (BCs), Dalits and indigenous peoples will be liberated and assert their power independently as a united proletariat, and prevent the Sanathanists' from highjacking the people's republic for their apartheid clique's power by fooling Indian Dravidians into believing the fraud that they share a non-existent religion (that exists only in a fraudulent label) with the Sanathanists!!

Hindu law should be scrapped and the Hindu label legally abrogated,

Secular civil law enacted for non-Sanathanists, and all Indian Dravidians who are not Muslims, Christians, Jews, Sanathanists and Parsis,

Legal recognition given to the non-Sanathanist religions and thoughts of conscience of Indian Dravidian Bahujans, Dalits and indigenous peoples independent of the "Hindu" label, (including atheism),

Eventually all caste names should be abrogated and affirmative action given under broad labels of Indian Dravidian Bahujans (for BCs), Dalits (for SCs), Indigenous Peoples (for STs) and under the label (casteless) Indian Dravidians (for those off spring between Dalits and non-Dalits). But this measure should be done only after a socio-economic security net on par with western nations is enacted for all Indian Dravidian Bahujans, Dalits and indigenous peoples, by way of guarantees to housing, sanitation, education at all levels, health care at all levels, food and material (financial) security by way of cash doles or kind (just as in the west)!!

India urgently needs a social security system on par with the West along the above lines, without which unmitigated development will only lead to neo-colonialism and turning most Indians into beggars!

Dr. Kalaignar and dignitaries viewing the parade on the republic day of India!!

Corrected Version 2
Being derided, abused and attacked by my fellow Tamils (albeit from Lanka), with vicious vileness, violence and Talibanism (with apologies to the Taliban)!!

The following is only my socio-psychological observation on the expatriate Tamil community and my subjective views regarding the latter, and these views have nothing to do with my advocacy for the human rights, humanitarian rights and my conceptual bipartisan support for the armed struggle for Tamil self rule in Sri Lanka (within the laws of war and human rights), and my free-wheeling campaign to secure Justice for the past and enduring pogroms, atrocities, disappearances, crimes against humanity, displacement and conflict misery inflicted on the Tamils as a covert campaign of genocide as a bipartisan human rights advocate will always continue, but in a more toned down manner given my sense of humiliation and lack of dignified treatment at the hands of fellow Tamils !!

I have given a prelude to my socio-psychological assessment of the Eelam Tamil community I had encountered in the West, and my brief description of the events leading up to my latest attack at the hands of some Eelam Tamil men is in the last few paragraphs!

I have written earlier that I have had very negative subjective experiences with some members of the Eelam Tamil community and I find it very difficult to get along with some members of the latter socio-psychologically, and my advocacy for the Lankan Tamil human rights, humanitarian rights and armed struggle arises out of my sense of objectivity and solidarity with the human rights of the suffering (Tamil) people facing the onslaught of the state oppression and genocide as a bipartisan human rights advocate, and it has nothing to do with my subjective loyalty to any people or political or militant outfit. Many readers may have refused to believe this stand of mine, and seen me reductionally as some sort of an associate of Eelam Tamils and their militants due to their prejudice. The truth is that I am caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. On one side I have prejudiced elements in India who saw (and see) me as some sort of an associate of Tamil militants because they do not relate to my bipartisan advocacy for the human rights and armed struggle of Eelam Tamils (just as one does for Palestinians). And on the other end I suffer from the oppression of some members of the Eelam Tamil community and in general their indifference and prejudice who hardly respect, recognise or value me for the creative advocacy for their struggle and human rights as I had done in my own way, due to their de-intellectualised, uncreative and de-politicised political psyche that does not respect opinion givers and opinion creators, except for individuals with political power, wealth, celebrity and of course the militancy.

The truth is that I am not even an associate of Eelam Tamils (leaving alone the prospect of being an associate of their militants), but I write profusely and unilaterally on issues concerning the human rights, humanitarian rights, and support for the armed struggle of Tamils for a nation because of my extreme empathy with the suffering of Tamil people in the island and their legitimate need for self rule from a bipartisan perspective and nothing else!! But this does not make me blind to the negative socio-psychological traits amongst Eelam Tamils and their expatriate community, just as I comment on any other people.

But the most recent oppressive incident I suffered at the hands of some Lankan Tamil males has given me the opportunity to write a blog to put things in perspective.

People in India make reductionist conclusions on my freewheeling blogging and advocacy on Sri Lankan issues and think that I am some kind of an associate of Tamil Tigers. It is obvious that many in India think and feel this. This is painful because members of the Eelam Tamil community (of all hues), particularly the non-English speaking, violent, illiterate, culturally Talibanish and misogynistic males who form the bulk of the expatriate proletariat in East London, have been the source of many an oppressive, violent and distressful behaviour against me subjectively over the years and also because Eelam Tamils (of all hues) themselves do not know or care or value any of my writings, except for a very few.

Ever since 1997 I have been getting into serious trouble on account of Sri Lankan Tamils for no fault of my own and I am now quite fed up!! Despite my altruistic advocacy and blogging on human rights, humanitarian rights and armed struggle for Eelam Tamils in a most articulate and unselfish manner, I am hardly supported or even respected by Lankan Tamils while on the contrary subjected to their derision, while an assorted groups of celebrities and politicians who openly visit and associate with Tamil militants in India make a huge amount of money and enrich themselves in India with the law not even touching them!

An average Lankan Tamil is not a politically intellectualised animal as one sees in a rickshaw puller or even in a barber shop adorning DMK imagery in Tamil Nadu! Eelam Tamils can be divided into two categories. One is the non-Tamil speaking (or semi-Tamil speaking), rich, upper or middle class and educated ones who are mainly self-centred, career oriented, and who do not much care for advocacy for the human rights or the political or armed struggle of Lankan Tamils themselves (even to the extent of Periyarist and Ambedkarite activists in India, except for the retired geriatric types), while spending huge amounts of monies on temples, rituals, astrology, every day materialism and related skull-duggery! The other class is the uneducated, semi-literate, misogynistic, culturally Talibanish and lumpen Tamil men who make money through hard work or “para-legal” activities! All of them are devoid of any socio-political intent or psyche that is untypical of a people who are supposed to have a politically radicalised psyche, and this may be because any grass roots based political, social and civil society involvement in the struggle of Tamils is next to nil, particularly in the expatriate community even though there is no fear of oppression for political and rights advocacy because they do not live in Sri Lanka. Both these classes of peoples pursue materialism, material oriented de-intellectualised education, extreme religiosity, commercial Tamil movies, cultural Talibanism, etc., with great fervour, more than any urban villager in India!! All that they consider as political activity is their annual participation in militants’ related meetings or militant related contributions and nothing else!

Even the kind of freewheeling political and media advocacy and pamphleteering for Eelam Tamil rights indulged in by Periyarist and Ambedkarite individuals and organisations in India at an individual and community level is absent amongst the expatriate Tamil community!

Hence they are a de-intellectualised and de-politicised community with single minded indulgence in money gathering activities, worshipping the gold, religiosity and abject materialistic selfishness, without any indulgence in any kind of advocacy for human rights and humanitarian rights of the suffering Tamil people at an individual or grass roots level like Periyarist or Tamil nationalist activists in India (where even fan associations of stars are politically active and political pamphleteering is like having one’s breakfast), except for some marginal human rights organisations like the Tamil Information Centre, who are again doing a thankless job and seen with disdain by the larger community who are completely devoid of any political psyche or advocacy, which comes across as very strange to me, given the fact that in Tamil Nadu even a auto-rickshaw driver would be vociferous in advocating ideas, rights related struggle and political thoughts, individual pamphleteering and joining some political campaign!!

The complete lack of political thought and an advocacy oriented mind in an average individual expatriate Sri Lankan Tamil’s psyche (atleast from what I see in the UK) and in their grass roots community, both amongst the educated and the uneducated - baffles me!! This may be because military campaign is seen as the only political and advocacy activity, but the larger cause of explaining the legitimacy of the Tamil struggle to the international community, need for addressing impunity for genocide and crimes against humanity, and the legitimacy for Tamil self rule, which I do in a creative off the beaten track manner by engaging popular mass communication, political and advocacy methods is seen as unnecessary, which will strike as strange to a man from a country where a poor pavement dweller will have something to say and advocate politically! But an average Sri Lankan Tamil man or woman hardly speak anything in terms of political or rights advocacy as a part of their every day interaction or his human condition with the larger community, which will strike as strange to a Zionist, Palestinian or even a Dalit activist!

No Eelam Tamil has any clue to my silent and low profile advocacy and advocating effects of my writing on some opinion and decision makers who have been reading my blog and other writings in India and abroad (because they have a de-intellectualised psyche that respects only money, status, celebrity, political power or the armed struggle through the gun, and hence they neither appreciate the power and importance of opinion makers nor do they see a role of creative and off the beaten track communication for advocacy such as the one I do!! Reductionists in India who misunderstand my freewheeling blogging advocacy on various issues concerning Eelam / Sri Lankan situation and assume that I am some kind of an official blogger for Eelam issues and their militants, would be surprised to know that not only have I received little support from the Eelam community (of all hues and shades – for the above reasons and since they do not approve of independent advocacy for the rights and struggles of Tamils out of the militant approved organs), but on the contrary I have been in the receiving end of some of their bigotry, particularly from a peculiar kind of violent, dangerous, culturally Talibanish and sexist country brutes who loiter the streets and man the shops of East London. And I was very oppressively victimised by such men two days ago, as I explained previously.

This cultural Talibanism of these Lankan Tamil males is driven by a kind of vileness that has psycho-sexual roots associated with moral policing for similar but psycho-sexually racist reasons written in an earlier blog, but not entirely. The non-English speaking, rowdyish, illiterate, misogynistic and sexist types amongst young Eelam Tamil men who view inter-gender interactions with a narrow, hyper-sexualising and rural males’ perspective and intense psycho-sexual jealousy with their cultural Talibanism, have been oppressing me whenever I had the misfortune of living amidst them in East Ham and happened to have social conversation with a member of the opposite gender in public (due to their bigoted cultural Talibanism, ruralist psycho-sexual envy and resulting violence just like some roadside rowdy elements who bother inter-gender conversationalists in India), given my natural conversational, talkative and networking personality. I have suffered this whenever I had the misfortune of choosing to live in East Ham, a borough populated by Lankan Tamils predominantly and particularly known for violent Tamil gangs! These are guys who will take umbrage and become violent even if I say a polite “Vanakkam” even to their girl friends (despite my obvious lack of any subjective fancy towards them), and have a respectful sociable conversation and give out my business card in a sociable public situation, since such is their cultural Talibanism, narrow minded prejudice and psycho-sexual insecurity! In their sexism and male chauvinism they are worse than religious conservatives!

One of the reasons I came to the west is to be warm and conversational to all, but this triggers the regressive psyche of this particular kind of illiterate, brutish, sexist, psycho-sexually envious and culturally Talibanish and uncouth males’ prejudice which pounces on an inter-gender conversationalist at their midst, given their illiterate, ruralist and extreme misogyny. I can cite many instances of such experience from males of various backgrounds (as I wrote in an earlier blog) but the most recent one was the one I suffered in Sri Lankan Tamil shop called “Seelan’s”, a few weeks ago when the store’s manager humiliated me by abusing me and forcibly ushered me out of the shop by pushing me physically when I had done nothing wrong, after I had had been speaking to a friend I recognised from the University with whom I had a consensual conversation about my upstart counselling service and practice, a few weeks ago. I did not respond at that time and chose to remain silent and diplomatic because I did not want to pick up a conflict with a fellow Tamil. But then I had to register my protest because these people knew who I was and I realised that their reasons to offend and humiliate me should have been something else, because I have been coming to this shop for 6 years and their behaviour towards me changed only recently!! And I was wondering why!

I went to the same shop three days go to tell the guy what he did was wrong, and I simply told him that he had no right to touch me and that he had no right to interfere in a consensual conversation of other people, and I left the shop after I did that! But the manager and his colleagues came out and heckled me, shoved me and attacked me and when I responded in self defence, I was further attacked! When I called the cops, the shop keepers turned the tables against me by claiming that I attacked them and got witnesses to lie to the police, and the ever prejudiced police interpreted the situation and CTV images which essentially showed a scuffle in the favour of shop keepers and got a case of “common assault” foisted on me (when it was they who attacked me), and now I am out on bail awaiting trial for “common assault”!! Because this incident happened three days ago, I have been a bit perturbed, and now I have been very angered and hurt!!

The above is only my socio-psychological observation on the expatriate Tamil community and my subjective views regarding the latter, and these views have nothing to do with my advocacy for the human rights, humanitarian rights and my conceptual bipartisan support for the armed struggle for Tamil self rule in Sri Lanka (within the laws of war and human rights), and my free-wheeling campaign to secure Justice for the past and enduring pogroms, atrocities, disappearances, crimes against humanity, displacement and conflict misery inflicted on the Tamil as a covert campaign of genocide as a bipartisan human rights advocate will always continue!!
P.S. While I wrote about similar "racist Talibanism" of some white people, I have to empphasize I (incidentally) never suffered such Talibanism when I lived amongst the Muslim dominated Upton Park for one and a half years and when I lived in the Sikh populated Southall (and Ilford) for a year respectively, where I thought people were relatively more warmer and non-judgmental!! But I guess my latest victimisation at the hands of Lankan Tamil men should have had some other reason other than some kind of cultural Talibanism, because these guys and the shop know me for several years, and hence, I suspect that I was humilated and attacked for some other reason about which I cannot speculate!!

Russell Crowe: Another prolific puncher and assaulter who gets turbulently and unilaterally violent without any need for self-defence (unlike in my case) but still never gets really prosecuted or convicted due to his celebrity status and colour of his skin!

Here are some news links to his past commissions of assaults and battery, and also racist behaviour:

Congratulations to Ratan Tata for the "Nano" and a much deserved "Padma Vibhushan" award!!

My belated congratulations for Ratan Tata for his break-through people's car "Nano" that costs around £1,250!! The Padma Vibhushan award bestowed on him is well deserved, given his tireless and dynamic corporate leadership with an acute sense of social responsibility! I wish him a long life and unending vigour for many more years of active leadership in many aspects of Indian industry!! India and conscientious Indians are indeed proud of Ratan Tata!!
Condemnation:
I join many other media mandarins in condemning the Government of India for the launching of the Israeli spy satellite and further launching of similar satellites which will only be used by Israel for its imperialistic and war mongering purposes to create conflict misery and destabilisation in the middle east! This only shows that the Indian system of democracy is heavily flawed, since a crucial foreign policy act was committed without any cabinet approval or parliamentary stamp!!
My punch in self-defence and John Prescott's punch:
Play the above video to view John Prescott's punch because the one I delivered in self defence was similar!
The punch I landed on one of my assailants on self-defence was selectively and expediently used by the police to arrest me and charge me of "common assault" when the several punches and kicks that landed on me was not used by the police to arrest my attackers! I wonder what could be the reason for the one sided and partial action of the police!!??

Thinking of punches, I was immediately reminded of the punches John Prescott landed on a person who threw an egg at him on his campaign trail and I had to ask when Prescott was not arrested and charged for throwing a punch on someone who threw an egg (which could be described as disproportionate response), why was I arrested and charged for responding in self defence by landing a punch on my assailants who surrounded me, heckled me and shoved me, and also went on to attack me in a most vicious manner!!?? And why didn't the police never bother to listen to my version of the events and why they thought they cannot arrest my attackers despite the several blows and kicks I suffered, while I was arrested for the single punch I delivered in self defence?

My elaborate critical blog on the Talibanish and vicious retards (who happened to be of Eelam Tamil background) who attacked me will be posted later, along with what I exactly think about the regressive, Talibanish and de-cerebralised psycho-social attitudes of some people in the expatriate Eelam Tamil community later today or tomorrow, because I have to choose my words carefully!

As Periyar had displayed, one can love a people and still criticize them psycho-socially, and I don't think my advocacy for the human rights, humanitarian rights and conceptual support for the armed struggle of Eelam Tamils for self rule will be negated in any way by my critical observations on the psycho-social condition of the Eelam Tamils!!

Vile, vicious and violent Lankan Tamil males in East London – A prelude: (to be continued tomorrow)

I was attacked two days ago outside a Sri Lankan Tamil shop in East Ham called “Seelan’s Stores” by a bunch of hooliganish and lumpen young Lankan Tamil males and its shop keeper working in the shop, and when I called the cops, they attackers turned the table against me and claimed that I attacked them, produced false witnesses, and the ever prejudiced British police which is very eager to execute an arrest when allegations are made against coloured people (particularly against each other), when the same police never turned up when I was brutally attacked by racists at the Hammersmith tube station in 2003 despite waiting for them for many hours (and on other occasions when I was the victim), promptly arrested me based on the false allegations disregarding the fact (and by misinterpreting the CCTV images) that I was the one who called the cops when I was physically heckled, shoved and provoked, and forced to act in self defence, and I was the one who suffered the brutal attacks at the hands of these violent men, who also threw me to the ground and stomped me! I spent the morning of Jan 23 in the police station and have been bailed out, but I still face the possibility of being charged with “common assault” and facing a “trial” and a custodial sentence if my Lankan Tamil assailants from the above shop continue to “press charges” !! I had also given an elaborate complaint to the police that I was the victim who was primarily attacked by these ruffians, but for some strange reason the police were hell bent on arresting me in a very prejudiced and malicious manner by disregarding my complaint!! But this incident is the latest incident is a series of abusive, violent and oppressive experiences I had suffered at the hands of Lankan Tamil males in East Ham over the years. And I will be writing a more elaborate blog on the background of this incident and also on my related socio-psychological comments on the Lankan Tamil expatriate condition in London later tomorrow, which will show to readers that my passionate advocacy for the human rights, humanitarian rights and a conceptual support to the armed struggle for Lankan Tamils (within human rights and laws of war) hid my subjective disdain and hatred for the socio-psychological and societal experiences with the expatriate Eelam Tamil community (which was not allowed by me to affect my objective defence of the rights of the Tamils in Lanka suffering crimes against their humanity and genocide), given my sense of objectivity!!

Unforgettable women Iniyan is yet to meet:

Media personality and alternative Tamil film-maker tackling progressive issues : Ms. Leena Manimegalai:
Martyrs day for the martyrs of the anti-Hindi agitation:
January 25th is the day commemorating the 600 odd Indian Tamils who were killed summarily by their own military for staging peaceful demonstrations against the imposition of Hindi in 1965 under the then Congress party led state and central governments, and it is sad that until this day there had not been even a judicial enquiry about the incident (while even the British had an "eye wash" enquiry for Jalian Wala Bagh)! I have to unequivocally condemn the Governments at the state and centre in India (from a point of view of equity in Justice as a human right and with no partisan motive), for the perennial denial of Justice to the 600 odd Indian Tamil students who were victims of military and para-military bullets in 1965, for peacefully demonstrating their constitutional right for peaceful assembly against imposition of Hindi! I state this again from a point of view of equity in Justice and law enforcement to prevent impunity for crimes against humanity abetted by the state and state officials, which is something that confronts rights advocates in every nation of the World!!
I was a victim of violent behaviour:
There has been some paucity in my blogging because I was a victim of a physical attack and devious oppression at the hands of some violent, criminal and uncouth ruffians (who unfortunately happened to be individuals of Eelam Tamil background) who work in a shop called "Seelans" in East Ham, the day before yesterday, about which I will be writing an elaborate blog later. Since I have been traumatised by the incident, there will be a paucity in my blogging. But I will write about the incident and my continuing trauma due to the incident elaborately later.

Corrected Version 1

I am just a bipartisan advocate for Justice, Equity and Human Rights!!

Nobody is finding fault with the Tamil Nadu police for enforcing the law, particularly with regards to arresting and imprisoning "real" "associates" of proscribed organisations, and I was never against such enforcement of the law, but my problem is that they do not apply the law equitably, apply the law maliciously to victimise the innocent to create false cases for purposes of senasationalist Goebellsian news at the behest of powers that be, do not apply the law on the powerful and influential who are real and open associates of unlawful organisations, and, worst of all they malicously apply laws proscribing unlawful organisations to curtail freedom of speech and political opinion thus impeding free intellectual, academic and media debate on issues concerning human rights, humanitarian rights and conflict situation in Sri Lanka, which may also include a conceptual bipartisan support to the armed struggle of Eelam Tamils (just as one does for Palestinians). In the past I have never entered into a debate on the proscribed status of the Tamil Tiger outfit in India (and never will), because my business is not to be a partisan for any militant or political outfit (and there are many who are paid to be such partisans), but to offer bipartisan advocacy for the human rights, humanitarian rights and a conceptual support for the armed struggle of Eelam Tamils for their own nation, (during the course of which one has to mention the players in the conflict including the LTTE, just as one does the same for the Palestinian struggle by mentioning Hamas) which is again chequered with chastising opinions for breach of human rights and laws of war in conflict behaviour, just as I do. People who view such an objective opinon as "association" or "partisan suppot" for Tamil Tigers (particularly the members of the Congress party and the Sanathanist media) are reductionists to the core who want to put a prejudiced categorizing label to stigmatise, oppress and deny freedom of opinion.

One of the major socio-psychological markers of a regressive psyche is "reductionism" and "putting labels on people" just for the views they had expressed without realising that there is room for bipartisanship and objectivity in opinion and debate. Lot of people found my defence of Dr. Kalaignar writing a poem to eulogise the departed political chief of the Tamil Tiger outfit as a partisanship for the militant outfit which was again wrong and based on reductionism. I was defending Dr. Kalaignar with regards to his poem for the aforesaid departed leader because I found his present regime in tune with Periyarist ideas and hence I was defending Dr. Kalaignar's right to freedom of speech from being misused to scuttle his regime, and not because I was holding a partisan brief for any militant outfit. I myself did not write any eulogy for the aforesaid departed leader but an objective analytical but respectful blog. And ditto with regards to my defence of Dr. Kalaignar with regards to the Setu project which I see as benefiting Tamil Nadu.

I am a vociferous blogger on all issues under the sun, including sexual issues (and I had toned down my writings on sexual issues because my blog got some sort of respectability by becoming a political blog)! I write about all issues under the sun, including the Eelam issue in which I only exercise my intellectual opinion in support of the human rights, humanitarian rights and conceptual support of the armed struggle of Eelam Tamils during the discourse of which one has to mention the players in the struggle including the LTTE, just as one does the same by supporting the armed struggle of Palestinians by mentioning Hamas or Fatah, which cannot be construed as association with any militant outfit but plain freedom of speech for academic, intellectual, media and human rights advocacy purposes, just as I do, but which is expediently, maliciously and wrongly criminalised by powers that be in India by illegally applying laws proscribing unlawful organisations for curtailing such freedom of speech.

Apart from my freedom of speech and intellectual advocacy on many issues (of which the Eelam / Sri Lankan conflict forms a small part), I have never had any faintest association with any militant or rebel outfit nor am I any particular spokesperson for any party or militant outfit. I just blog profusely and irreverently on various issues because I enjoy the intellectual challenge and creative expression on many issues.

But the problem is that powers that be in India who chopped of the thumb of Ekalyva for being a skilled man and beheaded Sambuka for being a learned man, just because they were Indian Dravidians derided as Panchamas and Shudras respectively, may hate and disapprove of my views on issues other than the Eelam / Sri Lankan conflict - such as the caste system, Sanathanist apartheid and the fraud of the Hindu label cloaking the Sanathanist apartheid dividing and ruling Indian Dravidians with the caste system and negating their non-Sanathanist religions and identities, etc., and hence may want to silence me just as they did with Ekalyva and Sambuka by conveniently blemishing and defaming me as an associate of Tamil militants which I never was and never will be, and because of which I carefully delineate and assert my legal right to freedom of expression and my total lack of association with any militant outfit by expressing my pain at the inequitable application of the law which stigmtaised and oppressed me with concocted and false charges of being an associate of LTTE, while open associates with celebrity and partisan power enjoy impunity despite their open association with proscribed organisations.

And the reductionism of an assorted group of idiots continues.

If at all people want to put a label on me, call me a bipartisan advocate for equity, justice and human rights irrespective of the caste, religion, national origin, race and ethnicity of the people I advocate for whether they are Gujarathi Muslims, Sikhs, Dalits, indigenous peoples, Eelam Tamils, Kurds, Chechnayans, Malaysian Indians, etc., etc.,

Panacea for inequitable application of the law:
The only solution to such an inequitable application of the law that allowed people with partisan power and celebrity status to openly visit members of the so called "unlawful" organisations and also openly associate with them with full media coverage would be to subject them to the same penal and prosecutorial action that was imposed on others who were blemished and framed as "associates" of unlawful organisations, and if that cannot happen and if the law in India is impotent before partisan political power and celebrity status with caste constituency power, I should be compensated for malicious and legally untenable imprisonment and prosecution that ruined my life by compensating me adequately for the damage to my career, earnings, family life and emotional health atleast to the tune of Rupees four crores!
Typographical error: In the blog before the previous one, the name of Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi was typed as "Mr. Karunanidhi" which was a typographical error which is regretted. I did not mean any disrespect to Dr. Kalaignar and this was a simple typograohical error which has now been corrected!! My apologies.
Corrected Version 1
Clarification: My previous and recent blogs is not a partisan indictment of celebrities and politicians who have visited Tamil Tiger militants and associated with them, and my bipartisan advocacy for gaining justice to my victimisation by way of citing a lack of equitable application of law, should not be misunderstood! I have nothing against celebrities and politicians who have visited Tamil Eelam and associated with Tamil militants (such as Barathi Raaja, Thiruma Valavan, Nizhalgal Ravi, Mahendran, etc., etc., and the list may be longer if one cites and reads all media reports), but my question from the point of justice and equity is as follows: If individuals with partisan, celebrity, financial and caste constituency power can be allowed to openly visit and associate with members of the so called "unlawful" organisations with impunity and without any legal action, why am I (and possibly many other ordinary people) maliciously victimised with false charges of "association" with an "unlawful oranisation" and my life ruined? I am still suffering an enduring ruin to my life and career due to my victimisation and related fears since I was falsely accused of doing something which people with partisan and celebrity power do more openly with impunity! Is this because I lack the "influence" of people close to the corridors of power through their political and celebrity status?? And how can this gross inequity in the application of the law allowed?? India had never been a land of equitable Justice when one sees the impunity enjoyed by the atrocities, sexual violence and crimes against humanity inflicted by the Indian army on Tamil civilians in Sri Lanka and also the Indian army's killing of 600 Tamil students in the 1965 anti-Hindi agitation for exercising their peaceful and constitutional right to assembly, and the enduring impunity enjoyed by the perpetrators of crimes against the humanity of Kashmiri civilians, Gujarathi Muslims in 2002 and Sikhs in 1984 and also against Dalits and indigenous peoples all across the nation!!
Corrected Version 2

I deserve Justice from the Government of India and Government of Tamil Nadu, just as Dr. Haneef received justice from the Government of Australia:

Dr. Haneef who was allegedly held in Australia on terrorism related charges for whom the Prime Minister of India himself vouched by pre-judging his innocence, has claimed that he was targeted by the Australian police and state authorities for his race and religion. Fair enough! But I was also expediently victimised by the police and state authorities in India because of my ethnic origins as a Tamil and my medical background as a doctor, due to which powers that be expediently and falsely attached a “associate” of LTTE tag on me and found in me a nice scapegoat for a concocted case they wanted to flash across the newspapers as a part of their socio-psychological exercise to create a fear psychosis against Eelam Tamils in 1997. But the only difference is that while the Government of Australia has apologised to Dr. Haneef and also made amends to him, the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu are yet to apologise to me or compensate me for victimising me in the most malicious manner because of my ethnic and professional background just as Dr. Haneef was!

As I state repeatedly, I have never had the faintest association with the LTTE even for a single second of my life in India or abroad. I was not even known as a spokesperson for issues concerning Eelam Tamils before I was maliciously arrested and prosecuted on trumped up charges of “conspiracy to give medicine” in 1997 just because I happened to visit an Australian widow of a famous doctor to cultivate contacts for my own plans to study abroad. I was in the wrong place in the wrong time and I got framed just because I was a Tamil and my medical background suited the powers that be who wanted to concoct a case along medical lines!

And secondly with regards to the incident of my arrest, I have never sent any medicine, never bought any medicine, never intended to send any medicine, never intended to buy any medicine, never had any funds or wherew
ithal to send medicine to anybody, and the fact is that I did not attempt to even provide humanitarian medical aid to anybody. What I did was to visit an Australian widow and a philanthropist who visited India every year for the annual music festival, and I met her in a function in 1997. She had also met the then chief minister Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi and contributed to his relief fund and hence I thought she would be a good contact to know given my plans to go abroad to study. Given the fact that Eelam Tamils abroad from grocers in London to film distributors in Europe have a financial and trade base in Chennai, I may not be faulted for just wanting to cultivate a contact. The news of her meeting the Chief Minister had appeared in some papers and I thought she was a credible person since the Chief Minister himself chose to meet and receive funds from her. After running into her at a function, I just became acquainted with her. She wanted to send medicine to displaced refugees and asked me to recommend some wholesale medical shops which I did. And then while I was paying a courtesy social visit to her one evening, while they were also others at her flat to visit her, the police simply swooped in!! They later claimed one of the persons had attempted suicide by consuming some poison and took him to hospital and asked me to accompany them to the Stanley Hospital! It was obvious that he had not consumed any poison and he was simply malingering since I also treated him along with other doctors at the hospital! Later medical records during the trial showed there was no single trace of any poison in his body and most probably he was a police related person himself who was used to simply implicate everybody and create a false case! Later that night I was arrested along with others who had visited the lady's flat on trumped up and false charges of “conspiracy to give medicine”, and my photo flashed in all newspapers along with others as if I was some kind of militant! (Interestingly, the photo of the person who falsely claimed to have consumed poison and who was claimed to be a Tamil militant by the police was never published in the newspapers and until today his antecedents and whereabouts are a mystery!) Thus I was framed in a false and concocted case, and was accused to be an “associate” of the LTTE (when I had never spent a single second with any LTTE member in my entire life in India or abroad), and the media (particularly the despicably malicious “The Hindu” and shamefully all the Tamil newspapers and all national English newspapers) went to town portraying me as a “LTTE doctor” without any journalistic ethics and without hearing my side of the case! Just after I was thus falsely arrested and fabricated, I received a letter from Ireland informing of a job appointment and I could not go because of my imprisonment and trial!! Thus I lost a wonderful job opportunity that would have enabled me to make a lot of money and as a result my career was ruined!! The impending trial consumed the ensuing two and a half years of my life and during that time my life, career, marriage, personal finances and my relationship with members of my family were ruined! Most probably the entire case was concocted to flash sensationalist news in order to create a fear psychosis in the minds of the public with regards to supporting human rights or humanitarian issues concerning Eelam Tamils given the occasion of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister deposing before the Jain commission the day after my arrest and incarceration in February 1997!!

Now my point is this: First of all I never even intended to send any medicine to refugees or militants or any alien in an outside planet given the fact I was not a very philanthropic person at that time but a very selfish and happy go lucky young doctor only bothered about movies!! Second of all, even if one has to hypothetically assume for arguments’ sake that I had intended to send medicine to any refugees, militants or any human being, such a medical activity is an internationally protected humanitarian activity and human right under international law, irrespective of the beneficiary, which cannot be penalised in any manner.

So even when I had not even attempted humanitarian medical activity which is a legally protected activity irrespective of the beneficiary of such an activity, I was accused of conspiring to indulge in such a humanitarian medical activity that was intended to benefit an unlawful organisation and this false and legally untenable accusation was used to frame me with trumped up charges of associating with an unlawful organisation, arrest me, imprison me, prosecute me and ruin my life!!!!

But my question is this, when I have suffered such malicious arrest, imprisonment and prosecution that ruined my life just because powers that be wanted to flash sensationalist news to create a fear psychosis amongst Eelam Tamils, why hasn’t the Government of India and Government of Tamil Nadu apologised to me and make amends to me, just as the Government of Australia did to Dr. Haneef? My suit claiming compensation for malicious prosecution still lies idly in the High Court of Judicature in Chennai despite 8 years!! I think I deserve a compensation of at least Rupees four crores for the loss of earnings, destruction of my life and career, and mental agony I endured due to the aforementioned victimisation and malicious prosecution!!

After this experience I was radicalised into an activist, and I started to exercise my legally allowed right of freedom of expression (particularly out of my anger and radicalisation by my malicious arrest and prosecution), to support the human rights, humanitarian rights and armed struggle of Eelam Tamils during the discourse of which I have to mention the players in that armed struggle (such as LTTE) both in positive and negative light, just as people who support the human rights, humanitarian rights and armed struggle of the Palestinians do the same by mentioning the players in that armed struggle such as Hamas and Fatah in positive and negative light. This is a legally and constitutionally guaranteed freedom of speech and opinion and in no nation (except the malicious and selectively expedient applicants of law in India) will such a freedom be blemished as “association” with a proscribed organisation or used as a false and legally untenable premise for applying laws proscribing organisations to illegally criminalise such a constitutionally guaranteed freedom of speech! This is evident from the fact that even in USA where Hamas is declared as a terrorist organisation, people express their freedom of opinion in support of the Palestinian struggle while mentioning Hamas in positive light, and the authorities do not blemish and illegally criminalise such freedom of speech by applying the laws proscribing Hamas in USA.

Similar freedom of speech can even be found even in Israel to express freedom of speech in support of the Palestinian struggle by mentioning Hamas in a positive light without any fear of malicious criminalisation of such freedom of speech by expediently and illegally applying laws proscribing organisations to curb freedom of speech.

Such an expression of freedom of speech and opinion for academic, intellectual and political debates cannot be construed by any right minded person in any country as worthy of warranting the application of laws proscribing unlawful organisations to oppress and criminalise such freedom of speech and political opinion, except in India where such freedom of speech is denied and oppressed by illegally criminalising such freedom of speech, by expediently misusing laws proscribing unlawful organisations.

I have explained the above to establish that I have been very careful not to breach the law and base my life and activities well within the law, with regards to legally and constitutionally guaranteed freedom of speech. Even the false accusation of “conspiracy to give medicine” was well within the gambits of the law and hence was maliciously and illegally used to frame me and oppress me, even though I never intended to send any medicine to anybody, because the international legal position is that even if I had intended to send medicine to anybody it would have been a legally protected activity irrespective of the beneficiary.

I deserve justice by way of a compensation and an apology from the Government of India, and Government of Tamil Nadu, just as Dr. Haneef got one from Australia! The clamour and moral justification for meting out Justice to me becomes particularly acute, given the fact while I was thus victimised and my life ruined on trumped up, false and malicious prosecution, individuals with partisan, political, material, celebrity or caste constituency power who openly visit and associate with Tamil militants escape such an equitable application of the law, which rubs salt on my wounded trauma, reminding me that if I had similar "influence" and "power" based on partisan, celebrity or caste constituency power not only would I have escaped such malicious and false prosecution and imprisonment, but I would have also enjoyed impunity even if I had really violated the law, given such partisan, celebrity and caste constituency power that enables such inequitable application of the law in India!!

Yesudas not let in by Kerala temple
By Our Correspondent

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 20: Veteran playback singer K.J. Yesudas has complained that the authorities at the famous Kadambuzha Devi Temple insulted him by inviting him to the shrine and then denying him entry.

Yesudas, a Christian by birth, revealed this in an interaction with his former classmates and teachers at the Swati Tirunal Music Academy in Kerala’s capital on Saturday.

"It seems even cats and dogs can go near gods, but not Yesudas," said the singer. "I was kept outside in Kadambuzha. I was also not allowed to have darshan in the Guruvayoor Sri Krishna temple. Only in Mookambika could I freely worship the divine mother."

The audience, consisting of music maestros, students and teachers, sat in deafening silence as Yesudas said this in an emotion-choked voice. "We have to change this practice of insulting human beings," said the singer, who regularly makes annual pilgrimages to Sabarimala

Inequitable application of the law to create a sensationalist fear psychosis against a discourse on human rights and humanitarian rights of Eelam Tamils:
Arresting ordinary and poor peoples on charges of being "associates" of LTTE for reasons of creating a fear psychosis against Eelam Tamils through sensationalist news is all fine, given the fact poor peoples eck out a living by doing illegal activities irrespective of whom they associate with, but , then why can't the same law be applied to powerful individuals with caste power or political backing who openly visited Tamil militants and associated with them, who include film directors such as Barathi Raaja and also political leaders such as Thiruma valavan? Once again, please let me clarify, I don't want anybody to be arrested for advocating and supporting the right to self determination and the just armed struggle of Eelam Tamils conducted within the gambits of human rights law and laws of war, but if the law has to be applied, it has to be applied equitably on all, particularly on those close to the ruling dispensation, and not on peoples without caste power, political backing or money power! If the law enforcement officials and the so called "powers that be" are motivated by the equitable application of law and not on concocting sensational false cases to create a fear psychosis in the society against Eelam Tamils, they would have enforced the law against the politically and materially powerful who openly associated themselves with the Tamil militants by even visiting them in the recent past, and not on the meek and the powerless who were most probably framed on false charges (just as I was) on "conspiracy to give medicine"!! In my case the Government of India is yet to issue an apology and compensate me, unlike the Government of Australia which exonerated and also regretted the incarceration of an Indian doctor on false charges of terrorism! When PM Manmohan Singh takes time out for worrying about Dr.Haneef who was thus victimised in Australia, he hardly thinks about a man like me who was arrested, incarcerated and prosecuted on false and legally untenable charges of "conspiracy to give medicine" and my life, career and family relations ruined, when first of all the charges were false and second of all - even if they were to be considered as true for argument's sake, international law deems no one can be penalised for any kind of medical activity irrespective of the beneficiary!

Inequitable application of the law:

Whenever I read news reports of people being arrested for "helping" or "associating" with LTTE in Tamil Nadu I can only laugh at the inequitable application of the law in India! When celebrities, film-makers, starlets and politicians who directly visited and openly associated themselves with Tamil militants in the very recent past do not get arrested due to their influence and power due to caste or political background, why are hapless ordinary individuals arrested by the inequitable application of the law, based on dubious and concocted allegations to create sensational news for unleashing a fear psychosis against Eelam Tamils in Tamil Nadu society? Unless India stops being this den of blatantly inequitable and maliciously expedient application of law, India will always be a nation where those who respect the law will be oppressed and victimised, while those who bend the law with their money, caste, political and nepotistic influence find the long arm of the law never even touching them! The way the law is enforced in India is shamefully expedient, partisan, inequitable, malicious and corrupt according to the whims and fancies of Sanathanist bigots and their appeasers amongst "Shudras" and "Panchamas" who want to flash sensational news and create a fear pscyhosis to further a political agenda that undermines any open discourse for human rights and humanitarian rights of Eelam Tamils!! A fine example of such destruction of the law is the enduring denial of Justice to the 600 Tamil students who were killed under Congress rule in 1965 for exercising their peaceful right to assembly against the imposition of Hindi! Similar examples of such galling impunity include the anti-Muslim genocide of 2002 and the anti-Sikh genocide of 1984. Given my activism for Justice to the Muslim victims of Gujarat genocide in 2002 and that of Sikh victims in 1984, I always wonder why people who seek support for extending justice to Gujarathi Muslim and Sikh victims of genocide, do not extend the same bipartisan support to seek Justice for the Indian Tamil victims of extra-judicial murder in 1965 or for that matter Eelam Tamils subjected to atrocities by the Indian military in the eighties? Why is that what is good for the goose not for the gander?

The scene where the characters played by Rob Lowe and Andrew Maccarthy violently fight over the latter's affair over the former's mother by rolling over the leaf laden ground in the back ground of darkish brown fall colours is something that is etched in my mind as a fine piece of camera work by any camera man!!

Use film-making as a mode of people's empowerment:
I propose to start a Indian Dravidian Film Co-operative Movement that will make films for the people on people's issues with people's money and share in the profits amongst people, and such film co-operatives should be established across cities and towns to make film-making a people's movement of grass roots artistic involvement to rejuvenate true, creative, artistic and people oriented film making in India, to bring the mass media back to the masses and to break the back of the hyper-commercialised slush that is plaguing society. Young people should come forward to establish such voluntarist co-operatives to make films and also make wealth that will be shared by all in the community, so that film-making can be used as a tool for enriching the community at large and not a few financiers and producers!

New party by a senior political player: MN may start his own party!

News reports state that Mr. M. Natarajan may start his own political party. I have never known him but I have read that he was a Tanjore based student leader of the anti-Hindi agitation in 1965 and a political player from Dravidian movement's early moorings who converted to MGR's ADMK cause and who is closely identified with the "Mukkolothor" (caste) community's electoral vote bank (even though he does state that he is for "all Tamil people"). One feels sorry for the shabby treatment meted out to a man of his ideological calibre and political committment at the ADMK party, and one wishes him all the best, if he dedicates to unite all Tamil people - or - in fact all Indian Dravidian Bahujan and Indian Dravidian Dalit people under a common anthropological and united identity of Indian Dravidian heritage!! Iniyan wishes him all the best!
Dr. Kalaignar at the final day function of the "Sangamam" cultural revivalist festival with a child who sang a folk song impressively:

My request and humble poser to Dr. Kalaignar as a loyal Indian citizen: Please give Justice by way of instituting a belated judicial enquiry and a public memorial and museum to the 600 Indian Tamil students felled by the bullets of their own army for exercising their constitutional right of peaceful assembly against imposition of Hindi in 1965, on their forthcoming memorial day on January 30!

Why aren't any political parties in Tamil Nadu including the DMK and ADMK asking for belated justice and a judicial enquiry into 600 peaceful Indian citizens killed and murdered by their own army for exercising their peaceful right to assembly in 1965? And why not??

Why isn't there a memorial or a museum for the memory of 600 Tamil Nadu students killed by their own army for exercising their peaceful right to assembly against imposition of Hindi?

How come there is a dearth of images concerning the 600 students killed by their own army for exercising their peaceful right to assembly in 1965 in the media and the internet?

Will the Government of Tamil Nadu rectify this on January 30, the memorial day for those martyrs who lost their lives agitating against Hindi, by calling for a belated judicial enquiry into the dastardly killings of 600 members of peaceful citizenry by their own army in 1965, and also announce the construction of a memorial and museum on their behalf?? I request and humbly challenge Dr. Kalaignar to enact an order towards this aim if he truly respects the memory of the 600 Indian Tamil citizens who were killed in a barbaric manner by their own army for agitating against Hindi!! If he does not, he would have shown that the DMK has yet again betrayed these martyrs after riding on the back of their dead bodies to power in 1967!!
Here is a web link to the dastardly killing of 600 Indian Tamil students by the army called in by the Congress party led governments at the state and the centre in 1965 for peacefully agitating against the imposition of Hindi by exercising their constitutional right to peaceful assembly :
An excerpt from the above link:
Why no Judicial Enquiry into the 1965 killings of 600 Indian Tamils by the Congress led state and central governments?

Some people requested the new chief minister Annadurai to appoint a commission of enquiry to go into the 1965 shootings. Such a commission could compel the former chief minister and high state government, Indian government, reserve police and army officials to testify under oath and reconstruct at least partially the official records. This would expose details of orders from the Indian Government to the Tamil Nadu Government relating to the shooting and killing of some 500 Tamils as well as to officially establish the sequence of events in the several dozen shootings, who ordered the Central Reserve Police and Army commanders to shoot and the number of deaths at each shooting. There have been many commissions of enquiry in India to investigate shootings (with far less casualties), major railway accidents and political scandals. But Annadurai did not order such an enquiry and never explained his reasons for not doing so.

Why were peaceful unarmed Annamalai University students going on a peaceful protest march were fired without any provocation on January 26, 1965? Was it a case of pre-meditated shooting on the part of the government Indian Government to terrorize the Tamil students and the Tamil people never again to rise up against Hindi imposition?

Why were some 500 unarmed Tamil civilians shot and killed in a three-week period in January-February 1965? Why were large numbers of Central Reserve Police and Army personnel, especially from northern states who are not opposed to Hindi imposition, rushed to Tamil Nadu to quell the anti-Hindi agitation instead of using personnel from the south who are also opposed to Hindi imposition?
Southern police and army personnel might have been less hostile and brutal to the protesters and the loss of lives could have been reduced. (We remind readers that China brought in troops from Mongolia to crush the 1989 pro-democracy protests of the Peking students at the Tianamen square because Mongolian troops have less in common with the Peking Chinese. The same tactic was used here by the Indian Government too.)

Why less lethal methods of disbursing demonstrators, such as tear gas, water cannon or rubber bullets used? (These methods don't kill.) Instead, live ammunition was used. Was this a calculated move by the Indian Government to terrorize the Tamil people into accepting Hindi imposition and Hindian domination over Tamil Nadu?

The Great Orator in Action:

In an address in 1962, former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C N Annadurai made the following statements opposing Hindi imposition: "It is claimed that Hindi should be common language because it is spoken by the majority. Why should we then claim the tiger as our national animal instead of the rat which is so much more numerous? Or the peacock as our national bird when the crow is ubiquitous?"

Annadurai also said, "Since every school in India teaches English, why can't it be our link language? Why do Tamils have to study English for communication with the world and Hindi for communications within India? Do we need a big door for the big dog and a small door for the small dog? I say, let the small dog use the big door too!"

Corrected Version 3 (III):

Clarification regarding my comments on the film "Pirivom Santhippom", and my stand on the culpability of the film-makers for committing a lethal crime!

Some of my positive comments on the film "Pirivom Santhippom" and the actors in the film, (even though basically I gave the film a hugely deserved "thumbs down" because it is the most boring and pointless film I have seen in my life), and also my sportive (but humorous) comments on the re-instatement of the kissing scene which may have been lost on some readers without a sense of humour, were made to show my sense of objectivity and lack of malice otherwise, but this does not mitigate or reduce my anger and disapproval at the film-makers of the aforesaid film for subjecting Ms. Sneha to a lethal crime of injecting a substance against her will and consent under the garb of shooting a scene while she was lying eyes closed on the bed without knowing that a needle with a syringe will be poked into her and some substance injected into her, which may have potentially killed her (and the unknown long term effects of the injected substance and needle injury that may still kill, but in a slower mode by causing damage to her health)! Whether Ms. Sneha has the self respect to initiate legal action against the concerned film-makers or not, as a man who respects and cares for Ms. Sneha I reserve my right to hold the film-makers of the aforesaid film responsible for the crime of bodily assault and an act aimed at (slow) homicide by damaging her health, as they committed on Ms. Sneha, in any which way I choose! The film-makers have been forewarned!!

And I don't think Ms. Sneha is stupid to risk her life and allow some body to inject an unknown substance into her for shooting a scene, and that too for one of the most inane and idiotic movies I have seen in my entire life!! Hence I have to reckon that the injection was given without her consent (as reported in the media and confirmed by her in an interview) and hence a crime of bodily assault and attempted murder! But one does not know why she has not initiated a police complaint??

And let me state and emphasize as usual, I have never met or interacted with Ms. Sneha but I am simply a man who loves her and wishes well for her!

I protest the ban on Tamil bull fighting by the Supreme Court: (excerpt from an earlier post from my other blog)

I condemn the Indian Supreme Court's ban on the traditional Tamil folk martial art of bull fighting (a Tamil rural variant of the Spanish bull fighting) by citing "animal rights". In India, the Supreme Court wants to enforce bogus rights for animals but not for humans oppressed as "Shudras" or Panchamas" nor will the Sanathanist controlled courts abrogate the Hindu law and the fraudulent Hindu identity that legally and constitutionally degrades, divides and rules Indian Dravidians as "Shudras" and "Panchamas", while negating the Indian Dravidian peoples' various independent thought, conscience and religion which are different from that of the Sanathanist religion of the apartheid Sanathanist racists who cloak their hierarchical graded apartheid imposed on Indian Dravidians under the blanket and fraudulent Hindu identity, while theologically excluding Indian Dravidians from elementary sacramental and scriptural membership of Sanathanism.

When there is no ban on Spanish bull fighting why should Tamil bull fighting be banned, (especially when the Tamil version is less harmful and non-lethal to the animals (bulls) but more valorous to the humans by putting the latter's lives at risk of a valorous sport), unlike the Spanish bull fighting that ensures that the life of the human fighter is secured while that of the animal is usually snuffed), but for the anti-Dravidian bigotry of Sanathanists whose one point is agenda is to co-opt, negate and destroy the independent cultural, theological, racial and national identity of Indian Dravidians (non-Sanathanist "Shudras" and "Panchamas")!?

Why would anybody allow a dangerous assault on their body without a complaint??
Photo: Former AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu clapping the board at the "muhurat" of a stalled Telugu film starring Sneha and Sri Kanth.

What I do not understand is that if Ms. Sneha has indeed been given an injection against her will and without obtaining her consent while shooting a scene where she was lying with her eyes closed, as it was reported in the "India Glitz" news report a few weeks ago, (and as it is evident from the film I saw), and given the dangerous long term consequences of the needle injury or any dangerous effects of the substance injected into her without her consent or knowledge, any objective legal or police personnel would consider it as a serious violation and assault on her body that can be construed as a crime of bodily assault or attempted murder! But why hasn't she pressed for a police complaint against the concerned individuals - who ever it may be - director, actor (doctor) and producer????

I also saw a recent interview in Vijay TV ("Coffee with Anu") in which she (Sneha) herself states that this injection scene was the most horrifying experience in her acting career! Then why hasn't she given a police complaint?? The "India Glitz" report itself says that she was not informed and her consent was not obtained and the injection was given to her suddenly while she was lying on the bed with eyes closed for the shot! Then what is preventing her from taking police action!? Whom is she scared of?

If she indeed suffered an injection of an unknown substance by a medical professional that dangerously violated the sanctity of her body and health without obtaining prior consent from her, all under the garb of shooting a scene for a film, it is indeed an act of bodily assault and an attempt at homicide from a legal objective point of view! Ms. Sneha should not be scared and file a complaint, and she should not consider reasons of friendship with the film-makers for allowing dangerous assault on her body which may have potentially killed her (and may still cause lethal long term effects that may still kill her in slow motion), because according to the law even parents or husbands do not have the right to abuse a woman, then how can strangers pump some substance into her body under the garb of shooting a scene without her consent?? For all one may not know, it could have been a dangerous substance which may have long term side effects, apart from the dangerus health hazards I already mentioned!!

If the director had a sister, daughter or a wife, will he subject her to the same dangerous and lethal abuse of her body by subjecting her to an injection against her will and without her consent?

Ms. Sneha should press for a police complaint of bodily assault with attempt to murder given the dangerous long term consequences of the substances that may have been injected into her and also the needle injury! She can even approach the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and complain if needed and seek his help! But if she allows men to lethally and dangerously assault her body to endanger her life and health in the name of friendship or profession by inj
